For those experiencing trouble logging in, you can try to recover your password by answering the secret questions provided.

TSC TPAD2 Dashboard navigation

TSC Tpad 2 dashboard is a type of graphical user interface which provides at-a- glance view when one logs into a system.

The TPAD online system has different dashboard appearances for different users i.e. teachers, deputy heads of institutions, head of institutions, curriculum support officers, Sub County Directors and County Directors.

In this write up we are going to delve deeply in three dashboards -teachers, deputy heads of institutions and head of institutions.

TSC TPAD2 Teachers’ Dashboard

The teacher’s dashboard indicates the teacher’s name, TSC number, institution’s level and name, IPPD code of the school and designation of the teacher.

From the dashboard, the teacher can also see his/her Incomplete Appraisals, Complete Appraisals and Notifications. This is accessed by clicking on the respective tabs.

The dashboard also displays appraisal progress graphs both termly and annually as shown in the screen shot.

This enables the teacher to monitor his/her termly and annual performance at a glance.

2. Deputy Head Of Institution’s Dashboard

The Deputy Head Of Institution (DHOI) dashboard shows the deputy’s TSC number and designation, Institution name, level and IPPD code.

Through DHOI dashboard, one is able to see his/her Incomplete Appraisals, Complete Appraisals and Notifications on the dashboard as shown on the screen shot.

The deputy will also be able to see his/her termly and annual appraisal progress through a graphical presentation as shown in the screen shot.

3. Head Of Institution Dashboard
The Head Of Institution (HOI) dashboard reflects the HOI’s name, TSC number, designation, Institution’s name, level and IPPD code.

On the dashboard, HOI is able to see his/her Pending Appraisals, Completed Appraisals and Notifications by clicking on the respective.

Just like in the case of Teacher and Deputy Head Of Institution, the HOI is also able to view his/her appraisal progress on a termly and annual basis through graphical presentation on the dash board.

Ignore lists doing rounds on social media on wealth declaration non-compliant teachers- TSC

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has come out to denounce the circular doing rounds on social media purporting that a section of teachers risk missing their salaries for failing to declare their 2017/2019 assets, liabilities and income. According to the Commission, the circular and lists are fake and should be ignored.

“Please ignore posts circulating on social media purporting that TSC will stop salary for employees who did not comply with the requirements of Declaration of Income Assets and Liabilities,” says the Commission.

A circular supposed to have originated from the Commission held that over 3,500 teachers and TSC staff will be removed from the payroll for failing to declare their wealth after expiry of the deadline.

TSC Circular on expunging over 3,500 teachers and staff from the payroll for failing to declare their 2017/ 2019 wealth.

The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers, Kuppet, had on Tuesday written to the teachers’ employers to protest the move, terming it unfortunate. But, TSC says affected teachers will be contacted once normalcy ensues. This is because all learning institutions are currently closed as a result of the current Covid-19 pandemic.

“The Commission will communicate to the affected employees individually when normalcy resumes,” TSC adds.

A list of over 45,000 teachers who purportedly will be missing out of the TSC payroll has been making rounds on various Social media platforms. This is believed to be an earlier list released by the Commission in December, 2019.

Teachers’ Latest News: Uncertainty as private schools’ teachers are sent on unpaid leave

The future is gloom for thousands of teachers working in private schools. This is after most of the private schools moved to terminate payments to these tutors siting challenges caused by the current Corona virus pandemic. With all learning institutions closed, owners of private schools say it has become impossible for them to continue paying the teachers.

Private schools depend on fees paid by parents to run. And since fees can not be collected during the current closure period, most of these schools have opted to send their teachers on unpaid leaves until the current turbulent times are over.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances caused by Covid-19 worldwide, the board of management of Carol Academy has decided to allow you to proceed on unpaid leave effective April 1, 2020 until further notice as directed by the national government,” reads a letter by Carol Academy dated March 31, 2020.

“We regret this action but have no alternative as the school is no longer operational. We pray and hope that the situation will improve in the coming days when we shall inform you to resume work,” the school’s board adds.

Uncertainty for teachers on BOM terms

This group of teachers will find it rough in coming days as family needs stare at them. And with most home owners refusing to offer rent free houses, for the time being, it is going to be very difficult for these crop of teachers.

Elsewhere, teachers employed by Boards of Management (BOMs) will be hoping that the school heads continue releasing their pay. Some school heads have started sending signs of hard times ahead with others advising the BOM teachers to spend whatever little they may be having cautiously. “The future is uncertain. Please spend your March pay prudently as we may face difficulties in months to come if the government does not release more fund,” advised one Principal.

Related News:

BOM teachers receive their pay from monies sent to schools by the Government through the Free Day Secondary Education (FDSE) programme.

The first Covid19 case was reported in Kenya on March 13. This forced the President to order for closure of all learning institutions to curb further spread of the deadly virus.

The Ministry of Education has indicated that this year’s national examinations (KCSE and KCPE) will no be postponed saying they have back up options. Schools are currently on official holiday.
