How to download 2020/2021 KUCCPS Admission letter to Kenya Methodist University (KEMU); 2020 KUCCPS Admission list pdf

Congratulations for getting admission at the Kenya Methodist University (KEMU) after your successful application. Students joining Kenya Methodist University (KEMU) are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after sitting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

Speech by TSC Boss Dr Nancy Macharia during the release of the 2019 KCPE Results

Here is the Speech by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) boss Dr. Nancy Njeri Macharia; during the release of the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results on Monday November 18, 2019;

“TALKING POINTS FOR DR NANCY MACHARIA DURING THE RELEASE OF RESULTS OF THE KCPE 2019 EXAMINATION RELEASE AT THE KKEC OFFICES ON NOVEMBER 18, 2019

1. KUDOS TO ALL TEACHERS AND CANDIDATES

I wish to appreciate all our teachers for successfully guiding, and teaching, the candidates until they sat the KCPE. Many times, the teachers play the parental role even more than the biological parents themselves. For this, the TSC – as an employer – cannot thank them enough. Please keep up the good work.

I can also not fail to thank the candidates for being obedient and accepting the guidance of the teachers and parents. You deserve the academic success that we are celebrating through the results being released today.

2. EXCELLENT CONDUCT OF SUPERVISORS, INVIGILATORS AND EXAMINERS

During the 2019 KCPE examination, thousands of teachers were engaged as centre managers, supervisers, invigilators, and examiners. These assignments required of them to rise up as early as 5am daily. As a matter of fact, we wouldn’t be here were it not for the teachers’ work. The TSC, therefore, wishes to celebrate these teachers for their sacrifice.  They deserve more because the 2019 KCPE examination has recorded the least number of malpractices ever. I note with satisfaction that 99.99 per cent of the teachers did their work perfectly.

The TSC will soon recognise the teachers who took extra-ordinary steps to stop cheating in the KCPE examination.
However, we also will investigate the conduct of 56 teachers who caused some missteps during the administration of the KCPE.

3. STAFFING UNDER THE 100% TRANSITION

We all recognise that the increased enrolment in our public secondary schools has strained the existing teachers with increased workload. To address this, the TSC recruited 5,000 secondary school teachers this year, and is in the process of hiring 10,000 interns to ease the shortage.

We are also replacing those who leave through natural attrition on a continuous basis. The TSC beseeches our teacher to do all they can to ensure high quality learning for our children.

4. COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT FOR TEACHERS

We recognise that our teachers need to getter better terms of service even as we demand more from them. As a result, we have already initiated the process of negotiating the 2021-2025 CBA. We hope we can conclude the CBA in good time to ensure our teachers can benefit from improved terms.

5. CONTINUING TEACHER PREPARATION FOR CBC

The TSC is determined to adequately retool teachers to be able to handle CBC in all primary school grades. Starting December 2, 2019, the Commission will retool 100,900 teachers on CBC delivery at a cost of Sh580 million. By the end of the training, the Commission would’ve trained 228,000 on CBC in 2019.

We thank our teachers for embracing this exercise of Continuing Teacher Development.”

The order to suspend these examinations follows another one that postponed Business and Technical theory examinations that were scheduled to start on Monday March 23, 2020.

In the latest circular sent to all Sub County Directors of Education and Principals of Colleges offering 2020 ECDE and SNE Examinations, the Council Boss says new examination dates will be announced once colleges re-open. “The Kenya National Examinations Council shall review the directive from time to time and inform you of the new examination dates once colleges re-open. Kindly bring this information to the attention of all candidates registered for the 2020 ECDE and SNE examinations,” she adds.

Uncertainty continues to reign supreme as to when normalcy will ensue as the Government puts up a spirited fight against the lethal Coronavirus Disease.

The 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE,  has also been marginally affected with Knec postponing the uploading of the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) project marks for Group IV subjects. Knec had earlier set the deadline for uploading the projects’ scores and pictorial evidence for Milestone one to be 31st of March, 2020 while uploading of data for Milestone two would have been done between 15th June to 15th July, 2020. Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science course; Requirements, duration, job opportunities and universities offering the course

The interplay between computer science and mathematics is substantial and growing.  Designing and analyzing efficient algorithms and the design of reliable software for mission critical applications inevitably rely on advance mathematical tolls. Conversely, computers facilitate the pursuit of mathematics, whether they are used for visualization, searching for information, or performing the routine but laborious manipulation involved in some mathematical operations.

The bachelor of science in mathematics and computer science is a four year degree programme that combines modules from both the mathematics and computer science degrees.  If you chose this degree course you would have the opportunity in the third and fourth years either to study both subjects equally, or to specialize more in one than the other.

In the computer science part of the programme, students undertake a wide variety of practical exercises and projects which reinforce and build on lecture material.  Communication skills initiative, professionalism and the ability to work with others are developed as integral parts of the learning process.  In their final year students undertake an individual practical project which is normally interdisciplinary between the two subjects.

Universities are the highest learning institutions in Kenya and the World over. They offer training majorly in undegraduate and Post Graduate Studies. In Kenya, the Courses offered in the Universities must be accredited by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services, KUCCPS. It is the same body that selects and places students to higher learning institutions; Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics. To qualify for University placement one must attain the minimum set Mean grade and particular course requirements. Each Course offered at particular university has its own cluster cut off points, though. Most university courses take a minimum of 4 years; while, some take even more. An academic year at the university takes two semesters of three months each. University students get fees loans from various organizations. Top on the list is the Higher Education Loans Board, HELB, that advances both loans and Bursaries. Universities run online platforms; portals and websites, where such services as admission application, online accommodation booking, E-learning, exams results downloads and many are provided to students, staff and the general public. On admissions, most universities have admissions in May and September for new students. Various learning modules are provided at the universities. These learning modules include: Full time, School Based, Distance Learning, Evening & Weekend classes and E-Learning.

Major Win for Classroom Teachers as SRC Finally Recognizes their Role in School, Setting Stage for Higher Salaries in July, 2021 when the current CBA lapses; TSC pay rise 2021

New TSC salary scales for teachers starting July 1, 2021 in the new CBA 2021-2025

It is a major win for TSC employed classroom teachers as a new job evaluation exercise conducted this year finally recognises their pertinent role in school, paving way for higher pay in July 2021 when their current Sh54 billion pay deal lapses.

New Job evaluation by SRC appreciates the role of teachers, terms the last CBA skewed and biased

TSC Commits to finalize CBA talks with SRC by June

A newly released report by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission, SRC, has indicated that the last job evaluation was skewed, favouring school administrators only  sidelining classroom teachers.

The new report shows that the current job descriptions of the classrooms teachers, based on the 2016/2017 evaluation, greatly undervalued and failed to recognize their worth, resulting in meagre pay.

It further indicates that the present Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), being implemented based on the previous SRC job evaluation, heavily favoured head teachers for it did not correctly capture classroom teachers’ job descriptions.

“There were significant disparities in the compensation and career progression between the institutional administrators and classroom teachers in the teaching profession as the job evaluation results for 2016/2017 did not adequately cater for the remuneration of classroom teachers. This might be attributed to poor development of job descriptions in 2016,” reads the report.

This means for the last four years, classroom teachers – who are also the majority staff – were underpaid in the CBA, which winds up in June.

Details of the current CBA shows primary school head teachers and secondary school principals were moved to higher job grades in 2016.

All primary school heads of boarding and day schools were automatically moved up to Grade D1, earning between Sh77,840 to Sh93,408.

Primary head teachers with lower students’ population were elevated to C5, earning Sh62,272 and Sh77,840.

Primary school deputy head teachers were also moved up to grade C5 and Grade C4, earning between Sh52,308 and 65,385.

Senior primary teachers were moved up, to grade C2, to earn between Sh34,955 and 43,694.

Principals of national schools were moved to Grade D5 for salaries of between Sh131,380 and Sh157,656 per month. The pay was also based on the school categories. Principals of extra-county schools moved to grade D5 as their deputies move to D3.

Principals of county schools were moved to grade D4 as those of sub-county boarding schools rose to Grade D4. Deputies head teachers of county and sub-county schools moved to grades D3 and D2 respectively.

Principals of sub-county day schools moved to group D3 and secondary school senior headmasters moved to Grade D4.

This was based on a newly grading structure for the Teaching Service which ranged from T-Scale 15 (job group D5) for the Chief Principal to T- Scale 5 (B5) for the Primary Teacher II being the lowest grade.

The new evaluation has however retained the grading structure.

Under this grading system adopted after the 2016/2017 job evaluation, P1 which fell under job group G, was scrapped and replaced with grade B5, which became the entry grade for primary school teachers.

Other old grades –J, K, L, M, N – were also re-named C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5 respectively. A higher band of grades previously P, Q and R were renamed D1, D2, and D3 respectively.

Teachers also got additional job groups S and T, which were also renamed D4 and D5.

The current grading favoured school mangers, with classrooms teachers only getting minimal pay. However, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) said it reflected the relative worth of the job and level of responsibility, decision-making and impact.

The good news for classroom teachers however is that results of the 2021/2022 – 2024/2025 remuneration review cycle, which will be used to negotiate the next phase of teachers’ salaries now captures their true worth and outlines an elaborate job description which will form basis for pay negotiations for the 2021/2025 CBA.

Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) Secretary General Wilson Sossion has given job evaluation as a condition for the next CBA talks.

“A job evaluation for all classroom teachers who were not properly compensated in the previous CBA is a strong precondition to any progress in the negotiations,” said Sossion in a letter dated February 23 to TSC.

The new report has also collapsed remuneration of head teachers based on categories of schools, noting this has occasioned serious administrative challenges in appointment, deployment and transfer of teachers.

“TSC’s administrative and contractual mandate to deploy and re-assign institutional administrators has been severely curtailed by the categorization,” reads report.

Under CBC, categorisation of schools as national, extra-county, county and sub-county schools, is being phased out in favour of career pathways of social sciences, arts & sports science and Science Technical Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Also, the new job evaluation recognises their new tasks under the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC), which gives them supervisory roles.

“Introduction of CBC significantly varied the scope and the job content of teachers’ duties and responsibilities, consequently the TSC has developed and submitted more comprehensive JDs on the same,” reads the report.

This means teachers job descriptions will capture their added roles under CBC, handing the classroom teachers a major win in the upcoming talks for the 2021–2025 CBA cycle.

The report says teachers will have increased supervisory roles which were not initially captured in their present job descriptions. It says classroom teachers will now coordinate learning and teaching activities.

They will also supervise to school rules and routines while on duty. They will also supervise learners’ safety and health during practical lessons. They will also supervise school programmes and coordinate subjects in their areas of specialisation.

The report says all primary classroom teachers will provide quality education to learners in primary institutions by facilitating acquisition of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values.

And for secondary classroom teachers, the report says they will provide quality education to learners in post-primary institutions by facilitating acquisition of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values.

Ethical citizen

Both positions will also responsible for molding and empowering the learner into an ethical citizen in line with the curriculum and goals of education, reads the report.

The the new job evaluation results also puts teachers at the heart of the next CBA talks, signalling better times ahead. This will now be used by the teachers’ unions to negotiate for higher pay in the new CBA, as the job evaluation report acknowledges teachers have more roles under the CBC.

Knut had proposed a salary increment of between 120 and 200 per cent.

This means the monthly basic salary for the lowest-paid teacher (Grade B5) would be raised from Sh21,756 to a maximum of Sh87,024 while salaries of the highest-paid teachers (Grade D5) would increase from Sh131,380 to a maximum of Sh394,140.

Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (Kuppet) also pitched a salary increment of between 30 and 70 per cent for the new CBA.

If implemented, the proposal would see the lowest-paid teachers’ salaries rise from Sh21,756 to Sh36,985 while those in higher cadres under Job Group D4, who currently earn Sh118,242, take home Sh153,714.

In its recommendation to the SRC, TSC had proposed a raise of between 16 to 32 per cent for all teachers.

In a letter dated September 9, 2020, TSC chief executive Nancy Macharia recommended that teachers below Grade CA to D5 get a 16 per cent salary increment as those in Grade B5 to C3 take home 32 per cent raise.

Kuppet writes to TSC about move to deduct salaries of 3,500 teachers for failing to declare wealth

The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers, Kuppet, as lashed out at the teachers’ employer for threatening to expunge over 3,500 teachers and staff from the payroll. This is in response to a move by the Teachers Service Commission, TSC, to remove teachers who failed to declare their 2017/ 2019 liabilities, assets and income within the stipulated time.

“We have noted with concern that the Teachers Service Commission intends to stop the remittance of salaries to some 3,500 TSC employees, most of them teachers, for their alleged failure to file a statement of income, assets and liabilities under the Public Officers Ethics Act,” says Kuppet.

TSC on April 14, 2020, released a list of 3,500 teachers and staff who failed to declare their wealth even after extending the deadline from the earlier set date of 31/12/2019. The Commission said the affected individuals will miss their April salaries until they do a formal explanation as to why they failed to comply. Kuppet says this move has had ripple effects among the teaching circles.

“The Commission’s circular dated 14 April 2020 has caused extreme anxiety in the teaching fraternity at a time all Kenyans are dealing with the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. Already, too many lists are circulating on social media allegedly identifying the affected teachers,” adds Kuppet via a circular dated April 21, 2020.

According to Kuppet, it will be very difficult for the said teachers to fulfill the requirements set by TSC considering the fact that ‘schools and TSC offices around the country are currently un-operational, while many teachers have travelled far away from their stations of service.’

Borrow a leaf from other employers

The current state of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country has made life very difficult and subjecting teachers to pay cuts will only make the situation worse. kuppet advises TSC to borrow a leaf from other government arms.

“It would be insensitive on the Commission’s part to be punishing teachers during this pandemic when other government departments are issuing temporary reprieves to citizens and foreigners for non-compliance with certain protocols during this crisis. For instance, the government has extended an indefinite extension for foreign nationals whose work permits have expired,” advises Kuppet.

Accordingly, KUPPET has written to the TSC Secretary urging her to rescind the planned action of suspending salaries for any employees until after the COVID-19 pandemic is over and government operations return to normal.

TSC news this year and what to expect in the new year

It has been a busy year in the education sector. Right from the implementation of the new Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) to recruitment of teacher interns. As 2019 draws to a conclusion, we take a look at the news that hit the headlines in the education sector and take a sneak preview of what to expect in the new year, 2020.

2019 started on a high note with a scuffle on School Heads’ transfers between the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) threatening to spoil the party. KNUT was opposed to a move by the TSC to transfer 3,094 heads of institution; some of whom were branch officials. TSC, had insisted that calls to revoke the transfers were futile as the moved head teachers and principals had already reported to their new stations; by first term opening date. Attempts by KNUT to call teachers to industrial action would then fall through since the teachers’ employer, TSC, had already threatened to ‘sack’ any teacher who will participate in the strike; and replace them immediately.

In February, the Commission announced that it had axed 29 teachers for various disciplinary issues. TSC, gazetted 29 teachers struck off the Commission’s register. Via a gazette notice dated February 2019, the Commission said the teachers were de-registered between May and November, 2018. According to the TSC act, a teacher can be de-registered for either of the following reasons; When he/ she:
  • Dies
  • Obtains registration fraudulently
  • Has been convicted of a sexual offence or an offence against a learner
  • Has been convicted of a criminal offence which renders the person unfit to be a teacher
  • Is found unfit to teach following disciplinary proceedings
  • Suffers from physical or mental illness or infirmity which renders the person incapable of performing the duties of a teacher.

August was a month of gloom and anguish for mostly KNUT members. The Commission prepared two parallel payrolls; for KNUT members and other teachers. Whereas non-KNUT members got their phase three of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), for KNUT members it was a different story. This is because the Labor and Relations Court had ordered that their (KNUT Members) terms be based on the Schemes of Service and not Career Progression Guidelines (CPG).

The Commission in the same month advertised 1,000 teachers in Primary schools who would be promoted to teach in high schools. With few days till end of the year, the would be applicants are yet to know their fate.

September did not get better for mostly KNUT members. It was grief and pain for teachers who had disrupted the new Competency Based Curriculum, CBC, training in April this year. This is after their employer, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), decided to dismiss some of them for disrupting the training.

“Pursuant to the hearing of your discipline case held on 15/08/2019, I am directed by the Teachers Service Commission to inform you that the Commission has carefully considered your case and has determined that you are guilty of the charges leveled against you and that you are hereby dismissed with effect from 15/8/2019,” read, in part, a dismissal letter sent to one of the affected teachers.

In May the Commission had interdicted 160 teachers, among them 10 KNUT officials, for boycotting and disrupting CBC training. The interdictions were effected on 5th May, 2019 and the teachers given 21 days to show cause why action could not be taken against them.

In April there was temporary disruption of training sessions witnessed in parts of Kakamega, Kajiado, Makueni, Homa Bay among other counties. The interdicted teachers who had responsibilities were directed by TSC to vacate office with immediate effect. Efforts by the Kenya National Union of Teachers, Knut, leadership to have the decision rescinded were met by opposition from the Commission; with TSC Boss Dr. Nancy Macharia promising stern action.

The Commission at the same time created a new user friendly portal for capturing the teachers’ appraisal data. This saw the reduction in the number of teaching standards to be appraised for teachers from the previous seven to five on its online appraisal portal. The portal that intends to reduce bottlenecks in the current one is yet to be officially rolled out by TSC.

TSC would then (on Wednesday September 25, 2019) hold its first ever open teachers’ day in selected venues countrywide. During the event, schools and teachers who posted good results in academics and Co-curricular activities were feted. The Theme for this year’s day was; TSC INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION FOR QUALITY TEACHING.

And the sacking spree (for teachers caught on the wrong side of the code of conduct) would continue. TSC sent home another 36 teachers suspected to have breached the code of conduct for teachers. The list of all male teachers was posted on the TSC website in October, 2019.

But, all was not lost for teachers as recognition for their good work would continue in the World Scene. First, it was teacher Peter Tabichi who won the $1 million Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize at a star-studded event in Dubai on March 24, 2019. Then came Asumbi’s Eric Ademba, a mathematics and chemistry teacher who was presented with the African Union Continental Teacher Award for outstanding performance, a first of its kind. Wednesday October 23, 2019 would be the day to remember for teacher Ademba.

Hope the new year brings more good news to teachers and worthy reforms in the education sector.

This year the Commission has recruited a total of 16,979 on permanent basis to bridge the teething shortage in public schools. Also recruited this year are about 10,000 teacher interns who will report to their stations in January, 2020. A total of 16,113 teachers will count themselves lucky since they received their promotions. Another 218,283 teachers have also been trained this year on the CBC.

In 2020, close to 2,600 classroom teachers will report to new stations after receiving their transfer letters. Also moved are some 1,010 principals in secondary schools across the 47 counties. 1,621 primary school head teachers will at the same time report to new stations in January, 2020.

To our esteemed readers, much appreciation for walking with us this year. Merry X-mas and Happy new year; full of unprecedented blessings.

Teachers or Cheaters? Shocking Findings Reveal Glaring Weaknesses among Teachers as TSC Plans to Send them Back to Class for Refresher Courses

Teachers or Cheaters? Shocking Findings Reveal Glaring Weaknesses among Teachers as TSC Plans to Send them Back to Class for Refresher Courses
Teachers or Cheaters? Shocking Findings Reveal Glaring Weaknesses among Teachers as TSC Plans to Send them Back to Class for Refresher Courses

All TSC-employed teachers will soon be obliged to go back to class for refresher courses as the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) plans to set up a school to sharpen all teachers’ skills.

This new move is founded on a recent research by the Commission which shows that the majority of the teachers exhibit glaring weaknesses when it comes to teaching strategies, preparation of professional records and effective classroom management.

Moreover, others exhibit incompetency in handling learners with special needs and weak assessment and feedback skills.

The buck does not stop with classroom teachers only, as school administrators (Principals and Head Teachers) are not left behind, either.

According to the TSC concept paper, some school heads and principals have poor resource utilisation abilities. Others are not able to analyse books of accounts, communicate effective with teachers and parents.

It is on these findings that the Commission proposes training sessions for teachers on classroom management, effective teaching approaches and professionalism.

“The over-arching goal of the Institute will be to enhance the quality of education by providing teachers, assisted by the education partners, with a formal structure for professional support and professional development” reads the TSC policy document; in part.

In the new teachers’ appraisal system, teachers will be expected to undergo Teacher Professional Development (TPD) by undertaking refresher courses.

Before the Covid 19 pandemic broke-out, the Commission had already contracted institutions that will be offering the refresher training programme modules. The new institute will be tasked with establishing procedures and criteria for the probation and full recognition of Teacher Professional Development (TPD) service providers.

It will, at the same time, come up with procedures and criteria for the probation and full recognition of Teacher Professional Development (TPD) service providers.

The teachers will be expected to meet the training costs for the modules that will be offered during school holidays. Of importance to note is the fact that the training will be mandatory for practicing teachers.

Already, Kenyatta University, Mount Kenya University, Riara University and Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI) had been identified to offer the Teacher Professional Development modules.

A teacher will be at liberty to choose an institution of his/ her choice where to take the TPD modules. Teacher Professional Development will continuously update teacher knowledge, skills, attitude and values encourage teachers’ learning communities.

The good news for teachers is that most of the TPD modules will be available online. “Many components of the TSC Teacher Professional Development programme will be available to teachers online and will be accessed through mobile phones said the the Commission, early this year.

The new institute will form strong basis for promotion of teachers through organisation of workshops and conferences and the publication of newsletters, research reports and articles on educational issues.

Other roles to be performed by the institute include to establish school-based support groups that will offer Coaching, mentoring, classroom observations, lesson study/action research, book/journal reviews and collaborative subject mastery development to teachers

Low turnout mars TSC Internship teacher interviews as Many applicants stay away over grievances; List of schools missing applicants

Empty halls characterized the ongoing TSC internship teacher interview sessions in some parts of the country; as the would be applicants stayed away. Panelists who had thronged the interview venues by 8.00am were caught by surprise when no shortlisted applicant showed up.

“We have been forced to suspend the exercise as no one has turned up,” said one panelist at an interview venue in the western region. In this particular venue, there were no interviewees despite the the fact that the respective schools had sent notifications to shortlisted candidates. “I had sent notifications to all the 5 shortlisted candidates. They promised to come for the interview (today). Unfortunately attempts to reach them have been futile as their phones are either off or calls go unanswered,” said one Principal who sought for anonymity.

According to this Principal, the panelists had waited till 12.00pm and when there were no signs of any applicant showing up, they decided to adjourn the exercise. “The officer in charge from TSC has instructed that we reach out to a qualified applicant so as to sign the contract form by next week,” he added.

Reasons for skipping the interviews

Most of the applicants who vowed skip the internships sighted a myriad of reasons; for their refusal to take up the slots. “The pay is too little. How can TSC pay a graduate a paltry Sh15,000 only!” wondered one applicant who was shortlisted but failed to go for interviews.

“To make matters worse, the pay is subjected to statutory and other deductions. Also, there are no allowances for teacher interns as those paid to other TSC teachers. This is being inhuman. The Commission is taking graduate teachers for a ride. I shall not take up the offer,” she added. According to the applicants who skipped the interviews, these were the reasons for their actions:

  1. Low pay and lack of any allowances,
  2. The interview sessions are expensive in terms of huge fares to far flung areas with no surety of clinching the employment chance,
  3. Risk of missing permanent employment if the vacancies are advertised within the internship contract period,
  4. Many requirements like the risk cover, Certificate of Good Conduct and others,
  5. Discriminatory working conditions as interns will be subjected to thorough supervision from their permanent counterparts,
  6. No guarantee of permanent employment after the one year internship contract,
  7. Better pay under BOM (Board of Management) terms.
