How to download 2020/2021 Admission letter to the Co-operative University of Kenya (COPUK); 2020 KUCCPS Admission list pdf

Sat for your KCSE examination and attained the minimum University Entry Grade and have been selected to join the Co-operative University of Kenya (COPUK)? Well. Congratulations for this your major achievement. Students joining the Co-operative University of Kenya (COPUK) are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after doing their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

  1. Access the KUCCPS Admission Letters Link at https://studentportal.cuk.ac.ke/portal/applications/pra/?f=s
  2. Enter your KCSE Index or Registration Number and click on check status.
  3. Locate the Admission Letter download tab and click on it to download it.
  4. Print the Admission letter and read the instructions keenly. In case you have queries, please direct them to the University by using the official (provided) contacts on your admission letter.

ABOUT THE COURSE

The  Bachelor of Radiography will offer an opportunity to ‘O’ Levels graduates and Diploma holders to pursue a Degree  course  and  enable  them  to  advance  in  Health  Sciences.The clinical component of this course requires students to rotate in a progressive manner in a hospital radiology department. The students will pursue their practical hands-on  training at leading hospitals.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

On successful completion of this degree the graduate can apply for registration as a diagnostic radiographer as well as become a member of the Society of Radiography in Kenya. Graduates can work in hospitals and other organizations as Radiologists.

Moi University is a higher learning institution established in 1984. In its first year of existence, there was only one department – the Department of Forestry, which had been transferred from the University of Nairobi. The enrollment that year was just 83 students. Moi University is a public university located in Kesses 35KM from Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu county.

Regular students are admitted to Moi University according to the minimum entry set by KUCCPS that year. Private students joining the arts programmes are supposed to have a minimum of a C+. Those joining science programmes should have a C (plain) plus the required subject attainment.

Universities are the highest learning institutions in Kenya and the World over. They offer training majorly in undegraduate and Post Graduate Studies. In Kenya, the Courses offered in the Universities must be accredited by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services, KUCCPS. It is the same body that selects and places students to higher learning institutions; Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics. To qualify for University placement one must attain the minimum set Mean grade and particular course requirements. Each Course offered at particular university has its own cluster cut off points, though. Most university courses take a minimum of 4 years; while, some take even more. An academic year at the university takes two semesters of three months each. University students get fees loans from various organizations. Top on the list is the Higher Education Loans Board, HELB, that advances both loans and Bursaries. Universities run online platforms; portals and websites, where such services as admission application, online accommodation booking, E-learning, exams results downloads and many are provided to students, staff and the general public. Postgraduate Diploma in Education   Bachelor Degree or its equivalent from recognized institution Diploma in Education (Science)

  • KCSE Mean Grade of C+ with at least C+ in two teaching Subject
  • And at least C- (Minus) in Mathematics

Diploma in Early Childhood Development Education KCSE Mean Grade of C (Plain) OR Division III at KCE OR Mean Grade C-(Minus) or an Early Childhood Studies Certificate from a recognized Institution. Diploma in Education (Arts)

  • KCSE Mean Grade of C+ with at least C+ in two teaching Subject

Taita Taveta University (TTU) is happy to inform the first year (New) students who have been selected to join the University in the various degree programmes that they can now get access to their Letters of admission to the university. Congratulations for getting admission at University after your successful application. Students joining Taita Taveta University (TTU) are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after sitting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

Admission Procedures and Requirements for the Bachelor’s Degree

    1. Admission Procedures:
      1. Enquiries for all Bachelor’s Degree programmes offered should be made to the Registrar (Academic Affairs), Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, P. O. Box 210-40601, Bondo, Kenya.
      2. The closing date for receiving applications for the Bachelor’s degree programmes shall be as determined by the Senate from time to time.
  1. Minimum Entry Requirements for Bachelor’s Degree:
The entry requirements set out below are only minimum, and they in no way entitle an applicant to a place in the University. Applicants must:
    1. Have the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a mean grade of C+ (C plus) passed at one sitting from at least seven subjects drawn from subject groupings as specified by the Kenya National Examinations Council or its equivalent.

OR

    1. Have one of the following combinations of passes in the Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education examination:
      1. Two (2) Principal passes obtained at the same sitting.

OR

      1. Two (2) Principal passes obtained at different sittings provided the passes are of grade C or higher.

OR

    1. Hold a Diploma of a recognized institution with a “credit” pass or higher or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution in the relevant field of specialization acceptable to the Senate. Those with a “pass” diploma will be considered if they have at least two years relevant experience after graduation.

OR

    1. Hold a certificate from a recognized institution with a “credit” pass or higher or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution in the relevant field of specialization, acceptable to Senate

OR

    1. Have exceptional experiential knowledge  and information

AND

  1. Meet additional or specific entry requirements as may be specified by the respective Department, School/Faculty offering the programme.
Bachelor of Education Course Requirements:
  1. Mean grade C+ (Plus) at KCSE and at least C+ in each of the two teaching subjects,
  2. 2 principal passes at A’Level and 1 subsidiary in relevant subjects,
  3. Diploma in Education (May be exempted in relevant units).
  4. P1 teachers must have scored C+ at KCSE to qualify.

The Co-Operative university offers a wide range of courses in its various faculties. The university has its main campus at Karen in Nairobi and it is a public university.

THE CO-OPERATIVE UNIVERSITY OF KENYA ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES

The university admits qualified applicants for the following programmes which will be offered on Full Time and Part time modes of study at the Main Campus (Karen) and Nairobi Campus. Intakes are in January, May and September.

HOW TO APPLY AND THE APPLICATION FORMS

Admission of candidates to the Co-operative University of Kenya programmes is open to all persons without discrimination on race, ethnicity, political opinion, gender or physical ability. Application forms can either be obtained from the Admissions Office at the Co-operative University of Kenya, or downloaded here and should be submitted upon a payment of a non-refundable application fee of KSh. 2,000 for Postgraduate programmes, KSh. 1,500 for Bachelors  programmes and KSh. 500 for Diploma and Certificate programmes. Universities are the highest learning institutions in Kenya and the World over. They offer training majorly in undegraduate and Post Graduate Studies. In Kenya, the Courses offered in the Universities must be accredited by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services, KUCCPS. It is the same body that selects and places students to higher learning institutions; Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics. To qualify for University placement one must attain the minimum set Mean grade and particular course requirements. Each Course offered at particular university has its own cluster cut off points, though. Most university courses take a minimum of 4 years; while, some take even more. An academic year at the university takes two semesters of three months each. University students get fees loans from various organizations. Top on the list is the Higher Education Loans Board, HELB, that advances both loans and Bursaries. Universities run online platforms; portals and websites, where such services as admission application, online accommodation booking, E-learning, exams results downloads and many are provided to students, staff and the general public. On admissions, most universities have admissions in May and September for new students. Various learning modules are provided at the universities. These learning modules include: Full time, School Based, Distance Learning, Evening & Weekend classes and E-Learning.
