KCSE 2020: 27 TSC Teachers Dismissed and Deregistered for Leaking Exam Papers as KCSE comes to an end

Disturbing news hitting our newsdesk this afternoon indicate that more than 27 TSC employed teachers will henceforth miss their daily bread since they went against the TSC code of conduct during the administration of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE exams this year.

The 27 teachers who have been fired have been convicted for propelling exam irregularities during the administration of the 2021 KCSE exams conducted in March/April.

Confirming the sad news, CS Magoha also noted that 35 civilians have been arrested and 53 mobile phones used in cheating during this year’s KCSE exams have been confiscated.

KCSE Results Release 2021

This comes at a time when President Uhuru Kenyatta has taken it in his stride to intervene for the candidates involved in the 2020 KCPE examination malpractices this year and see to it that they receive their results.

During the official release of the KCPE 2020 Knec Results on April 15, 2021, CS Magoha noted thatno candidate will be victimized for cheating during the KCPE 2020 national exams.

Knec contracted Examiners 2021 have already started streaming to their designated marking centres spread across Nairobi in preparation for the official launch of the marking exercise.

The Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC had put specific measures to ensure that the Examiners are allowed to access and traverse locked counties including Nakuru and Nairobi if the exercise has to go on smoothly.

County Education officers were directed to amass the necessary resources and  see to it that the Examiners arrive in Nairobi safely.

The contracted professionals were also provided with special passes- letters showing that they are expected to offer essential services to enable them travel to Nairobi.

The marking exercise will kick off once the marking schemes have been Harmonized.
