Examiners who will not be able to access the examiners’ portal and download their invitation letters are therefore advised to keep off the marking venues since trying to access the marking centers is an errand of futility.

KNEC invites and selects examiners based on their performance during KNEC training. The top performers are given opportunities first since they are likely to deliver more credible results.

REPORTING DATES AND TIMING FOR 2022 KNEC EXAMINERS

Given the throat-cutting competition for the limited Knec examiners’ vacancies, invited KCPE/ KCSE examiners are therefore advised to strictly adhere to the timelines indicated on the KNEC Examiners’ invitation letters 2022-2023.

The official reporting time is 2:00 P.M. for all KNEC examiners. Kindly note that the reporting dates differ from one KCSE script to the other since the papers have got different demands.

More demanding KCSE papers like English paper 3 Eng 101/3 require more time while marking since examiners have to peruse through at least three compositions per candidate. These examiners therefore will report to their designated marking centers a few days after the candidates sit for their last KCSE examination paper in early April.

KNEC Releases 7th Edition Of Mathematical Tables for KCSE Candidates

The Kenya National Examinations Council,KNEC, has revealed the new and advanced Seventh Edition of the Elementary Mathematical Tables for Secondary school students.

This latest Edition is approved by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). The publication is an essential tool in supporting curriculum in Mathematics, Sciences, and for examination purposes.

According to the council, this edition is improved both in content and presentation to enhance precision in Mathematics and Science calculations. The content is restricted to the essential tables that are relevant for KNEC examinations.

Furthermore, some formulae, Standard International Units (SI Units) and physical constants relevant to Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry have also been included.

Security features

To mitigate against sale of counterfeit by unscrupulous traders, additional security features have been added. Fake mathematical tables have inaccurate content which is misleading to the students.

The Seventh Edition is printed and distributed by the Kenya Literature Bureau (KLB), a State Corporation under the Ministry of Education and is available in bookshops countrywide.

In a statement, KNEC CEO Dr. Mercy Karogo encouraged teachers to use the new edition.

She said: “I urge all teachers to use this new edition in teaching and administration of both internal and national examinations.”
