Vacancies for 2022/2023 KNEC KCPE/KCSE Examiners marking the 2022 KCPE/ KCSE at the knec-examiners-app

The 2022 KCPE and KCSE Knec examiners will be competitively selected from all 8 regions and the 47 counties in Kenya.

Qualified teachers are expected to apply for the available 42, 000 slots for KCSE examiners and 7, 000 slots for KCPE examiners this year before the given deadline via the https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke/

The 2022-2023 KNEC Examiners vacancies will be competitively filled this year and only teachers who meet the minimum qualifications below will be granted access to apply.

KNEC examiners vacancies 2022-2023 selection criteria/ legibility

Reporting Dates for 2022/2023 KNEC KCPE/KCSE Examiners marking the 2022 KCPE/ KCSE

Any teacher applying for the 2022 KNEC Examiners Vacancies for KCPE/ KCSE marking must

  1. Be a Kenyan Citizen
  2. Possess a valid national identification card.
  3. Be TSC Registered
  4. Not be on TSC interdiction for any indiscipline cases
  5. Possess a valid KNEC registration Certificate for all examiners who have completed the KNEC training modules for all examiners.

Kindly note that only invited examiners only will be allowed to access the marking centers on the reporting dates indicated on the invitation letters.

Examiners who will not be able to access the examiners’ portal and download their invitation letters are therefore advised to keep off the marking venues since trying to access the marking centers is an errand of futility.

KNEC invites and selects examiners based on their performance during KNEC training. The top performers are given opportunities first since they are likely to deliver more credible results.

REPORTING DATES AND TIMING FOR 2022-2023 KNEC EXAMINERS

Given the throat-cutting competition for the limited Knec examiners’ vacancies, invited KCPE/ KCSE examiners are therefore advised to strictly adhere to the timelines indicated on the KNEC Examiners’ invitation letters 2022-2023.

The official reporting time is 2:00 P.M. for all KNEC examiners. Kindly note that the reporting dates differ from one KCSE script to the other since the papers have got different demands.

More demanding KCSE papers like English paper 3 Eng 101/3 require more time while marking since examiners have to peruse through at least three compositions per candidate. These examiners therefore will report to their designated marking centers a few days after the candidates sit for their last KCSE examination paper in early April.

Examiners who fail to turn up on the official reporting date and time indicated in the invitation letter will be disqualified.

PAYMENT RATES, DATES, AND TIME FOR 2022-2023 KNEC EXAMINERS

The 2022-2023 KNEC Payment rates per day remain constant in spite of the harsh economic times this year. Therefore 2022-2023 KCPE and KCSE examiners will receive Kshs 150 per day for co-ordination of the marking schemes for the first few days.

The KNEC payment rates per script range from Kshs 51 to Kshs 77 depending on the length and demands of the paper. English paper three examiners are the highest-paid Knec examiners in the latest KNEC examiners’ payment rates per paper 2021-2022.

The 2022-2023 KNEC Examiners payment rates may however be revised subject to the availability of funds at the council.

Litein Girls Girls High School 2022 Form One Selection; Admission Letters and List

Admissions: form one selection, application, enrolment rate, criteria, and requirements, admission letters, and placement list

The school admits at least 300 students per year.  This cohort is usually selected by the Ministry of Education to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all students in Kenya. The selection of students to the school is evenly distributed across all the 47 counties in Kenya.

The main selection criterion when it comes to Form one selection and placement is the students’ previous performance in KCPE results.

Interested applicants should however tender their interest when selecting their preferred secondary schools at the primary level long before the KCPE results get released.

Worth noting is the fact that picking the school as your first choice is not a direct ticket to the institution. Any student who wishes to join the school must attain the pass mark set by the Ministry of Education.

Form one admission: form one selection: criteria, list, and letters (Calling/placement Letters)

Unlike in the past when some parents and school heads could influence the form one selection list, this year’s selection is done by the MOE and it is purely based on the student’s KCPE marks.

Click HERE to access form one school selection system for national schools.

Have you been selected to join this school? Congratulations on making it this far. For a full list of all students who have been selected to join the institution at form one level, you can visit the school’s portal online or the institution.

New 2020 KNEC Timetable, Exam Dates for Grade 4 and Class 8 Assessment Tests

New 2020 KNEC Timetable, Exam Dates for Grade 4 and class 8 Assessment Tests

The national assessment test for Grade Four and Class Eight pupils which was scheduled to take place at the start of this week has been postponed to Wednesday, October 21.

The decision was arrived at following today’s Mashujaa Day celebrations which would have complicated the entire exam process.

“The purpose of this letter, therefore, is to inform you that due to the Mashujaa Day celebrations scheduled to take place on October 20, the date for administration of learning assessment tools has changed,”  said KNEC in a statement.

New KNEC Exam Dates for Grade 4 and Standard Eight National Assessment Tests

The council has also released the new exam dates which are in line with those of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams.

The pupils will commence with the Mathematics paper, English and Composition on the first day.

They will then sit for their Science test, Swahili and Insha on the second day, before sitting for the religious studies test on the last day.

No restrictions on Time

KNEC has also requested Invigilators to give learners enough time to do their exams even when the time required elapses.

This notion of issuing a national assessment test is pegged on the fact that by the time schools closed in March, learners in Grade Four and Class Eight were left with two weeks before starting their end of term exams.

According to a recent report from Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC), the exams to be taken by those in Grade Four was to test what they had learnt in 2019 while in grade three.

The current exams are also meant to assess whether the students can proceed with the current class after a six-month-long break due to Covid-19.

For learners in Secondary schools, form fours, KNEC has already issued fresh Guidelines on how practical based exams will be conducted.

The teachers responsible for the projects have so far been directed to upload data on the affected candidates onto the KNEC portal.

This comes even as the number of covid-19 cases continue rising everyday.

The Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has issued a warning to Kenyans who don’t seem to give a hoot about their health by disregarding Covid-19 protocols.

Health experts have predicted a resurgence of the virus, the second wave that is likely to hit the economy pretty hard.

There are insinuations that schools could close again for fear of Covid-19 spread.

The other learners are also yet to be recalled back to school.

Each of the institutions that enter candidates for the KNEC examinations shall receive a hard copy of the institution’s examination results printout and result slips which captures the following information:

1. Institution’s Code and Name
This appears on the top left side of the printout. The institution’s code is a unique number by which an examination centre is identified by the Council.

This is the number that an institution should always quote whenever communicating with KNEC.

2. Candidates Details

Below the institution’s name and code are details of the candidates. These details include the index number of the candidate, year of examination, gender, individual subject grades and the mean grade.

  • W- denotes that the candidate’s examination results have been withheld on suspicion that the candidate has been involved in an examination malpractice and investigations are ongoing;
  • U- denotes ungraded examination results due to infringement of the awards criteria.

Mean Grade Award Descriptions

  • Mean grade will be X, if a candidate is absent in all subjects
  • Mean grade will be Y , if one or more subjects are cancelled.
