Gusii Mwalimu sacco dividends calculator-rates: How To Calculate Gusii Mwalimu Sacco Dividends 2021-2022

How To Calculate  Gusii Mwalimu Sacco Dividends As payday Fast Approaches

Just like any other Savings and Credit Cooperative Society, Gusii Mwalimu SACCO usually rewards its  Esteemed Members  through dividends in March every year.

Every member thus gets to enjoy the benefits of being part and parcel of the Gusii Mwalimu SACCO.

However, the majority of the members do not seem to have a clear understanding of how the amount deposited to their accounts in form of dividends is arrived at.

This has necessitated our Newspro media team to go an extra mile, dig deeper to unearth the formula used by the sacco.

Gusii Mwalimu Sacco dividends’ calculation formula 2021

Gusii Mwalimu Sacco in 2021 enacted a policy which saw shareholders’ dividends calculated on a monthly basis.

To calculate the dividends of members the Sacco gives more weight to January meaning that contributions made in the month of January accrues more dividends compared to subsequent months like December for instance.

How Gusii Mwalimu Sacco Calculates  Dividends for Members

It is important to note that dividends are paid at two levels of percentages; 13% of capital shares that is usually 20,000 for each member and 12% of the amount of shares.

Suppose the rebates on deposits of a member as at December 2019 is Kes. 100,000, capital shares at ksh 20,000 and he/she contributes Kes. 5,000 monthly, the total dividends will be calculated as follows:

HOW TO CALCULATE FOR DIVIDENDS AMOUNT IN KSHS

12% of 100,000(Shares as at December 2018) 12,000
13% of 20,000(Capital shares) 2,600
12% of 5,000(January Contribution) 600
12% of 5,000 x 11/12(February contribution) 550
12% of 5,000 x 10/12(January contribution) 500
12% of 5,000 x 9/12(March contribution) 450
12% of 5,000 x 8/12(April contribution) 400
12% of 5,000 x 7/12(May contribution) 350
12% of 5,000 x 6/12(June contribution) 300
12% of 5,000 x 5/12(July contribution) 300
12% of 5,000 x 4/12(August contribution) 250
12% of 5,000 x 3/12(September contribution) 200
12% of 5,000 x 2/12(October contribution) 150
12% of 5,000 x 1/12(November contribution) 100
TOTAL 18,750
5% of 18, 750 ( Withdrawal Tax) 937.5
AMOUNT RECEIVED AS DIVIDENDS (18,750-937.5) 17,812.50

Gusii Mwalimu Sacco list of mandatory deductions made from dividends earned by members 2021

Note that dividends is subject to the following deductions:

Excise duty

Processing fee

Amount expected in your account (net) is the Actual amount (as Calculated above) minus any advance amount taken.

According to one of Gusii Mwalimu Sacco delegates who sought anonymity, the method above was reached in a bid to encourage members to start saving as early as January.

Consequently, members who make huge deposits towards the end of the year with the aim of reaping where they did not sow  won’t reap big as per their expectations.

How to easily access your dividends at Gusii Mwalimu Sacco

In a statement, the sacco management encouraged members to use M-banking, Sacco-link and ATM channels to access cash. This will help in minimizing crowding in banking hall as much as possible.

“In compliance with M.O.H guidelines on covid-19 management, you are encouraged to use M-banking, Sacco-link and ATM channels to access cash. Avoid crowding banking hall as much as possible,” read part of the statement.

KCSE 2022-2023 Results Knec Grading System And Minimum University Entry Points for Candidates, See Clarification Below

KCSE 2022-2023 Results Knec Grading System And Minimum University Entry Points for Candidates, See Clarification Below

The latest news on KCSE 2021-2022 Results Grading System indicate that there are a few changes in the usual Knec grading system for all the subjects.

Although Education can be defined as the total process of developing human abilities and behavior, the ultimate test and assessment of a learner’s overall performance lies with the official Knec grading system which is revised and altered from time to time depending on learner’s performance in KCSE exams.

In Kenya education is served in levels currently; at primary school via secondary school and later to the higher institutions of learning and in all the levels, examinations mark the level of intelligence among learners.

At secondary school, the Kenya National Examination Council (knec) conducts the Kenya Certificate of secondary education exams annually to mark the end of secondary education

This year we are expecting the KCSE examinations as from March to early April and we expect the grading system to remain the same like that of 2021 where only seven subjects are graded based on twelve-point criteria as shown below;

Currently, KCSE results are determined by a 12-point grade system. This grade will determine the kind of tertiary institution that a student can join. Here is a breakdown of the current KCSE grading system.

KNEC recently released the KCSE grading system they will use for the 2021-2022 national examinations. The system is based on a numeric 12-point scale from 1-12 and an expanded letter grade ranging from A to E (A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D, D-, E).

Although a student may sit for the national examinations, KNEC may not award the student a mean grade for several reasons. This can happen if a student does not meet the set requirements for getting a certificate.

In this case, a candidate will have a grade of:

  • U – it indicates a candidate has not met the criteria for a certificate award
  • W – it indicates KNEC has withheld a candidate’s results for various reasons
  • X – it indicates a candidate was not present throughout the exams
  • Y – it indicates KNEC has canceled a candidate’s results because of irregularities
  • Z – it indicates a candidate has not met the registration requirements

How the grading system works

KNEC grades candidates who sit for 7 or more KCSE subjects during the national examinations. The examinations body puts all subjects into five groups. These groups include:

  • Group I – These are compulsory subjects all students must sit for during exams. They include English (101), Kiswahili (102), and Mathematics (121).
  • Group II – The group consists of four science subjects. However, a student must sit for at least two subjects during the exams. They include Biology (231), Physics (232), Chemistry (233), and General Science (237).
  • Group III – The group consists of five humanities subjects. A student must sit for at least one subject during the exams. They include History and Government (311), Geography (312), Christian Religious Education (313), Islamic Religious Education (314), and Hindu Religious Education (315).
  • Group IV – There are eleven subjects in this group. The subjects include: Home Science (411), Art and Design (442), Agriculture (443), Woodwork (444), Metalwork (445), Building Construction (446), Power Mechanics (447), Electricity (448), Drawing and Design (449), Aviation Technology (450), and Computer Studies (451).
  • Group V – The groups consists of subjects from languages and business studies. They include French (501), German (502), Arabic (503), Kenya Sign Language (504), Music (511), and Business Studies (565).

A student can choose the seventh subject from Group II or Groups III, IV or V. To get a mean grade based on the KCSE grading system 2018, KNEC averages a student’s score in all the seven (7) subjects.

The table below shows grades and marks and their corresponding points based on the current KCSE grading system.

Based on the

We also expect no difference in the minimum direct university entry grade thus it is likely to remain a C+ (plus) of forty six points across all genders.

Form One Placement list and selection Results for National Schools 2021: More Slots up for grabs in 2021 after fewer candidates score 400 marks and above

The scramble for form one Placement to national schools has officially kicked off with parents whose KCPE 2020 candidates attained between 380-400 marks eyeing the prime slots.

Form one selection, criteria process and placement to national schools 2021

The declared capacity of Kenya’s national schools still stands at 30,000.

No that fewer candidates attained the passmark that is 400 marks and above, 22,000 extra slots are up for grabs in the coveted giant schools.

Candidates who scored at least 400 marks and above are therefore guaranteed of receiving form one Placement letters to national schools this year.

To avoid compromising the integrity of the form one Placement exercise scheduled for May 28, 2021, the Ministry of Education employs a water-tight system .

The Ministry of Education will automatically lower the pass mark for form one Placement and selection to national schools in 2021 .

This means that the 282,090 KCPE 2020 candidates who scored between 300-399 marks stand a chance of being enrolled in the 106 national schools in Kenya this year.

The National Parents Association chair Nicholas Maiyo has requested the Education Ministry to set the new pass mark to national schools at 370 marks to allow seamless form one Placement of elegible KCPE 2020-2021 candidates.

“Parents are requesting the Ministry to reduce the pass mark to about 370 marks so that more candidates can join their dream schools,” noted Maiyo.

The Ministry of Education has committed to oversee the upcoming form one selection process. A water-tight system will be employed to ensure credibility and integrity.

“To ensure all candidates are placed in their preferred schools based on performance and available vacancies, the Ministry of Education will employ a water-tight system that will preserve credibility and integrity” said Professor George Magoha during the release of the 2020 KCPE Knec results on April 15 2021.

Pre-selection of candidates to national schools in 2021- Parents sound alarm

Unfortunately, past experience has proved that KCPE candidates who perform better do not get placed in their preferred schools.

This has forced some parents to start booking form one slots in their preferred institutions paving way for corruption.

Confirming these claims, the National Parents Association chair Nicholas Maiyo noted that parents have developed jitters about the 2021 form one selection and placement process this year.

” Many parents have been telling me their expectations may not be met because the number of candidates who scored 400 marks and above have dropped” said Maiyo.

He further noted that the tradition has been that only candidates who attain 400 marks and above are guaranteed national school placement.

Parents are therefore requesting the ministry to reduce the mark to 370 marks to allow more legible candidates to join their dream schools.

The Education Ministry already warned some national schools whose principals were allegedly  involved in irregular selection of learners among them Utumishi Boys.

Form one selection formula 2021

There is however a ray of hope for top candidates since the Education Ministry has confirmed that pre-selected form one Placement lists to national schools will be trashed and the correct form one selection formula which takes into account the candidate’s school choices and affirmative action be employed.

Sources at the MoE have hinted that all eligible candidates stand a fair chance of joining their preferred institutions this year.

Also note that enrolment to national schools in 2021 will not be pegged on high scores only.

Other factors for instance regional balance will influence selection results.

This means that KCPE 2020 candidates who may have scored lower marks but but emerged top in their sub-county may land the coveted 22000 slots.

2023/2024 TSC Deployment of Primary Teachers to Junior Secondary; Requirements, Duties and Salary Scales

2023/2024 TSC Deployment of Primary Teachers to Junior Secondary; Requirements, Duties and Salary Scales

TSC Advertizes Mass Recruitment Vacancies; 10,000 Posts on Permanent and Pensionable Terms and 25, 550 on Internship Terms

Following the release of the maiden KPSEA results for grade six pupils, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will deploy primary teachers with diploma and degree qualifications to teach in junior secondary schools starting January 2023.

The target group for TSC 2023-2024 deployments to junior secondary schools is primary classroom teachers who recently upgraded their PTE certificates by undertaking the new Diploma in Primary Teacher Education, DPTE.

TSC Requirements for Deployment from Primary to Junior Secondary School 2023/2023

3 Teacher Interns C+ in KCSE + C+ in teaching subjects Diploma in Education/ Degree in Education Intern

Primary school teachers with degree qualifications will also get deployed to teach in the newly established junior secondary schools.

The teachers’ service commission needs at least 60, 000 teachers to handle the over 1.2 million grade 7 learners whose KPSEA results were released on January 16, 2023.

TSC recruitment 2023 for Junior Secondary School

The Commission has also conducted recruitment for 30, 550 teachers who will be posted to teach in junior secondary schools.

21, 550 TSC recruitment vacancies in 2023 have also been reserved for teacher interns in junior secondary schools.

The newly recruited teachers will receive posting letters by January 23, 2023, before schools reopen.

TSC Deployment to Junior Secondary Processing Status 2023/2024

Appearing before parliament, Mr. Anyuor on behalf of the TSC boss Dr. Nancy Macharia confirmed that the process of deploying P1 teachers with diploma and degree certificates to teach in grade 7 had already kicked off.

“We are currently mapping those teachers shortly and we will get the exact numbers,” said Mr. Anyuor.

Based on the TSC database, a minimum of 17, 000 primary school teachers qualify to teach in junior secondary schools having upgraded to DPTE and degree.

Currently, KNUT is putting pressure on the Commission to reconsider its C+ minimum qualification and deploy P1 teachers with degrees and diplomas irrespective of the grade attained at the form four level.

If TSC bows to pressure, all P1 teachers with C plain KCSE mean and/or DPTE or degree qualifications will automatically get promoted to junior secondary schools.

The Teachers Service Commission has already allocated 1 teacher to handle one grade 7 class in every county. If every county has got 1000 classes, for instance, TSC has assigned 1000 teachers to handle the classes.

These numbers are based on the 2022/2023 TSC budgetary allocation by the treasury.

TSC chair Mr. Jamleck Kamau also noted that the Commission will retrain teachers in primary schools and then redistribute them to junior secondary schools.

The Teachers Service Commission will consequently train primary school teachers in Languages, Pure Sciences, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Humanities, and Technical subjects.

The Subject clusters for Junior Secondary Schools encompass:

Mwalimu National SACCO Dividends 2021; How to Calculate your dividends at Mwalimu National SACCO 2021-2022

Mwalimu National SACCO Dividends 2021; How to Calculate your dividends at Mwalimu National SACCO 2021-2022

Mwalimu National SACCO  Dividends 2021

Teachers, shareholders at the Mwalimu National SACCO are yet to absorb the rude shock they were treated to following the mere pittance that was credited to their FOSA account as dividends for the fiscal year 2020.

Mwalimu National SACCO dividend rates 2021

On March 23, 2021, Mwalimu National management team declared a rate of 9.3% on teachers’ deposits made from January 2020 to December 2020 on a prorata basis.

The management also exempted capital shares of 20,000 during the calculation of dividends.

Instead the management team raised capital shares from 20,000 to 30,000 claiming the sacco has been struggling to stand on its feet recently.

Why Mwalimu National SACCO offered teachers low dividends in 2021

This is the the third time the management has declared dividends’ calculation rate that is below par given that teachers  have invested heavily in the sacco.

The management on many occasions has shifted blame and pointed fingers at spire bank that has been counting huge losses since 2015 and Kisaju park houses that are yet to be sold.

However from the conversation that was going on on WhatsApp between a delegate and a member supervisory team whom the name is withheld to avoid victimization, there is a likelihood that teachers money is being swindled by the Sacco management team.

“My brother, delegates didn’t want anything less than what was declared for the financial year 2019, but the directors ganged with the supervisory board and senior MNS staff and hid behind Sasra to con teachers,” Onyambu revealed.

Mwalimu Sacco, How to calculate dividends 2021

Mwalimu National SACCO pays its esteemed members dividends based on their deposits annually.

However, in the year 2021, members were at sea, finding it difficult to understand how the amount that was paid as dividends was arrived at.

Newspro has dug deep to unearth the formula used by the sacco.

Here is an excerpt showing how Gusii Mwalimu SACCO calculates  dividends

Mwalimu Sacco decided to calculate dividends of members at monthly level. This means that contribution made at the month of January accrued more dividends compared to subsequent months.

How Gusii Mwalimu Sacco Calculated 2021 Dividends

It is important to note that dividends are paid at two levels of percentages; 13% of capital shares that is usually 20,000 for each member and 12% of the amount of shares.

Suppose the rebates on deposits of a member as at December 2019 is Kes. 100,000, capital shares at ksh 20,000 and he/she contributes Kes. 5,000 monthly, the total dividends will be calculated as follow:

HOW TO CALCULATE  DIVIDENDS AMOUNT IN KSHS

12% of 100,000(Shares as at December 2018) 12,000

13% of 20,000(Capital shares) 2,600

12% of 5,000(January Contribution) 600

12% of 5,000 x 11/12(February contribution) 550

12% of 5,000 x 10/12(January contribution) 500

12% of 5,000 x 9/12(March contribution) 450

12% of 5,000 x 8/12(April contribution) 400

12% of 5,000 x 7/12(May contribution) 350

12% of 5,000 x 6/12(June contribution) 300

12% of 5,000 x 5/12(July contribution) 300

12% of 5,000 x 4/12(August contribution) 250

12% of 5,000 x 3/12(September contribution) 200

12% of 5,000 x 2/12(October contribution) 150

12% of 5,000 x 1/12(November contribution) 100

TOTAL 18,750

5% of 18, 750 ( Withdrawal Tax) 937.5

AMOUNT RECEIVED AS DIVIDENDS (18,750-937.5) 17,812.50

Note that dividends is subject to the following deductions:

Excise duty
Processing fee

Amount expected in your account (net) is the Actual amount (as Calculated above) minus any advance amount taken.

According to one of Gusii Mwalimu Sacco delegates who sought anonymity, the method above was reached in a bid to encourage members to start saving as early as January.

Members who make huge deposits close to the end of the year won’t reap big as per their expectations.

TSC Latest News Today- The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has issued guidelines on the new Tpay system. This is after the commission moved teachers from the former payslip.tsc.go.ke/ to the new portal at tpay.tsc.go.ke.

Newly employed teachers who are not yet registered on the TPAY system can register
at the County Office. They however need official permission from their immediate supervisors- school heads and principals before being served at the County offices given the stringent rules and TSC Code of Conduct.

TSC- TPAY SYSTEM; VERIFICATION OF DATA

Unlike other TSC online application processes that are continuous, the ongoing TSC teachers’ validation of TPAY Data accounts will take a maximum of four weeks only. This, therefore, means that all TSC-employed teachers will be forced to squeeze some time amid a tight work schedule given the shortened term periods this year and update their T-Pay Accounts at the TSC TPAY system before July 15, 2022.

Why Update my TSC TPAY Data?

In case you are wondering why the Teachers Service Commission has given the above directive, it is meant for the well-being of all TSC employees whose TPAY Accounts have been infiltrated in the past by fraudsters posing as legitimate TSC employees and managed to steal sensitive information and even taking huge loans without the knowledge of teachers.

TSC Profile Validation

The TSC  profile validation is a two-step process aimed at enhancing the security features of all TSC employees including the teachers and the secretariat.

The two-step authentication process encompasses physical identification and digital identification of teachers on the T-Pay system.

TSC; NEW MENU WAS INTRODUCED ON THE NEW T-PAY PORTAL.

You can now get a number of new items in the T-pay portal. The ‘My Documents’ tab is one of the new menus introduced on the much-improved payslips portal.

The new T-pay menu is very user-friendly and contains the following menu:

HOW TO RESET YOUR T-PAY PASSWORD.

In the event you forget your T-pay password, you have no reasons to be worried. Remember, you can reset your Tpay password by using the simplified steps below;

  1. You access the TPAY portal and click on the “Reset Password” button.
  2. You will then be prompted to enter your TSC number and click on the “Reset
    Password “button.
  3. From the “Reset Password “window you will be prompted to enter an “OTP (One Time Password) Code “that they receive via their mobile, “New Password “and confirmation of the password.
  4. Once done with the step above you can now log in and access their TPAY account.
NB: Always remember to keep your passwords confidential.

KCSE CHEMISTRY PRACTICALS SET FOR TODAY, THIS IS HOW MOST SCHOOLS PLAN TO CHEAT

KCSE Chemistry practical is set to take place today.

As usual, the teachers in charge of the practical have already received the confidential for the KCSE paper.

The trickiest part of it all is the fact that the Chemistry practical will be marked based on the teacher’s findings which differ from one institution to another due to various variables such as temperature.

Remember there is no way a teacher in North Eastern will have the same findings as that of a teacher in Western Kenya.

Most schools by now have already put up a façade by enclosing the apparatus and reagents using “black” curtains to prevent any early exposure of the examination.

The truth is, invigilators and supervisors today still have to be extra cautious since Chemistry Paper three greatly determines a candidate’s overall score in Chemistry.

Remember keeping your TSC job which you have toiled for all these years depends on the outcomes of Chemistry paper three.

TOO SENSITIVE

One month ago, Professor Magoha forewarned of any identical readings and findings in Practicals.

KNEC has noted that most candidates will end up with similar findings despite conducting the Practical independently.

This is way too weird because the council gives an allowance for students to deviate by a margin of +2 or -2.

However, most teachers who access the confidential early will not uphold integrity.

THIS IS HOW THEY PLAN TO CHEAT IN THE KCSE CHEMISTRY PRACTICAL

The most common way is clever candidates will request the invigilator to call their teacher for them because they do not have “enough” reagent X or because a certain apparatus is dysfunctional.

If an invigilator, who is also a teacher, tries to help, the student will turn down the offer and insist that it is only Teacher Y who can unravel the “mystery.”

Left without option, the invigilator will have to go for Teacher X. then there it is! A golden opportunity for the teacher to confirm whether the student got it right or give the correct reading!

My advice to you is, accompany the teachers in charge throughout the entire session. Do not give room for the devil.

No teacher will let sleeping dogs lie especially given the fact that Chemistry Theory papers are hard nuts to crack.

The other way is “group movements.” The candidates know each other well and the school will arrange them in such a way that the bright students are well distributed in each session.

So when heating element X or rinsing apparatus, they will patiently wait until the bright candidate(s) join them.

That is another opportunity for the weaker candidates to confirm whether their findings are correct or not.

The last way is by arranging the candidates in such a manner that the first shift is composed of the weakest candidates who will be used as “sacrificial lambs.”

This is common in Biology Practicals where the bright ones just need to know the specimen provided and predict the questions.

As the first shift leaves the laboratory, they will be discussing what was set. The bright candidates would have known what to revise for.

In the case of Chemistry, the sacrificial lambs will be used to clear the serious invigilation phase as teachers prepare for a soft landing during the next session.

They know very well that the invigilators and supervisors would have relaxed by the time the next session begins.

My take, invigilate thoroughly for all the sessions since Chemistry Practicals are the most sensitive thus bound to produce Ys in schools…
