HOW TO BOOK A TRAIN (MADARAKA EXPRESS ONLINE BOOKING)

1. Type the name “Madaraka Express” on the Search Bar using your browser-Google, Opera Mini or Mozilla Firefox
2. Click on the “Search” tab then wait for a few seconds for the results to load.
3. Click on the official Madaraka Express Website provided below   https://metickets.krc.co.ke/
4. This will automatically redirect you to the Madaraka Express Online Booking Service.
5. From the drop-down list provided, select the train type you would like to book whether inter-country or express.
6. Next, select your departure point from the tab labelled “From”. There is a list of termini to select from-Nairobi Terminus, Mombasa Terminus, Voi, Kibwezi, Emali Athi River, Mariakani, Mtito Andei etc.
7. Select your Destination from the Tab labelled “To”.
8. The next step is to key in your Departure Date from the “Departure Date” tab.
9. Complete the process by clicking on the “Book a Train” tab at the bottom of the page.

1. NAIROBI TERMINUS

The Madaraka Express Nairobi Terminus is built as two trains with a bridge on top.

It is located at Syokimau in Nairobi, south of the Capital City.

2. MOMBASA TERMINUS

Built like concentric circles and a central tower representing a ripple in the ocean, Mombasa Terminus is located in Miritini in Mombasa County.

1. M-Pesa

Pay for your Madaraka Express ticket by entering your M-Pesa PINafter making your booking through USSD or online.

NOTE: You only have 2 minutes to pay lest the ticket will expire and be cancelled.

2. Paybill Transfer

This second payment option enables you to pay by making a pay bill transfer to Madaraka Express’s Paybill Number after booking your ticket.
