‘Bush,’ as it is commonly nicknamed, is a public national boys’ boarding secondary school located in the Kikuyu area in Kiambu County, Kenya. It was one of the first schools in Kenya to offer secondary school education to Africans. Founded in March 1926 by the Alliance of Protestant Churches – The Church of Scotland Mission, that is the current day the Church of the Province of Kenya (CPK), African Inland Church (AIC), and the Methodist Church, the school has grown to the academic giant it is today.
The current principal of the school is Chief Principal William Mwangi.
The School was ranked position 4 nationally among the KCSE top-performing schools nationally this year.
The school registered approximately 300 candidates for the KCSE 2021 exam. The good news is that approximately 95% managed to score above C+ (plus), which is the minimum university entry grade under the placement body, KUCCPS.
