This is a girls-only public national boarding secondary school located in Subukia Constituency, Nakuru county. The school came into life in 1986 after the former head of state, the 2nd president of the Republic of Kenya, his Excellency Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, and the Board of Governors decided that Moi Forces Academy Nairobi should cease to be a co-educational institution. That is when they transferred the girls from Moi Forces Academy Nairobi to Lanet, separating the school genders. Since it is sponsored by the Kenya Defence Forces, the majority of the students were children of the Defence forces members and only a small fraction were civilians. During those days, when the school closed, the military lorries would ferry the children home. The school has had only 3 principals, that is Miss Zilphah Omondi (1986-2000), Mrs. Cecilia Ng’etich (2001-2005), and Miss Elizabeth N. Njoroge (2006- to date). The school sat for its first national examination in 1989.
Notable alumni include Jacqueline Kamonya, who is a known news anchor at KBC before she left for the states, and Phyllis Kariuki Magero, who is now a luxury wedding cake naker running Cake Couture Kenya which has won awards.

This school is located along Dundori road in Lanet sub-location, Lanet location in Bahati division, Subukia Constituency, Nakuru County, Kenya. It occupies an area of around 80 acres. Neighboring schools include Ol Kagaa Planet Secondary school, Modern Academy Primary school, Navigators Girls secondary school, Mereroni Secondary School, and Mereroni Primary school.
Moi Forces Academy Lanet KCSE performance;
The school is known for doing so well in both local and national examinations. In 2017’s KCSE, the school produced the 3rd best student nationally in KSE results, that is Julie Munyui. The school also became position 88 nationally in KCSE with a mean score of 65.96.
Moi Forces Academy Lanet Form one selection;
Here, form one selection is usually done via academic merit in regards to KCPE examinations. The students who have high results and selected the school as the first choice are given higher priority than others. Students are also selected on a need basis where parents’ financial background is put into consideration.
