The Teachers’ Service Commission, TSC, has been ensuring that it improves it’s mandated services so as to remain relevant and meet it’s obligations.
According to the Strategic Plan 2019-2023, the commission highlighted some Reforms and Innovations in the provision of it’s services aimed at improving them by 2023.
Recently, teachers have witnessed tremendous changes in accessing services such as payslips, transfers, promotions, applications for employment among others being done online.
Unlike before, such services were manually done and at times taking long enough to be offered.
To achieve this, the commission has now successfully automated almost all those services including the famous Teachers’ Performance Appraisal Development, TPAD.
To better the services even further, TSC has so far automated the leave application and approval process and migrated to an online system.
Effective from 1st December, 2021, there will be no manual application for all types of leaves.
All tutors including interns will be required to apply for leave using online platform. Guidelines and procedure on how to apply are available through the commission’s website.
Any challenges should be addressed from the commission’s ICT field officers. Those already on leave and applied manually will not be affected.
After graduation as a teacher, you will not be allowed to teach unless you are registered by TSC. Upon successful registration, you will be given a TSC number and Certificate.
