The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) recently announced that it is opening its online recruitment portal to accommodate new applications by interested and qualified candidates for the recruitment of 20,000 teacher interns. The internship opportunities are available in a total of 18,000 junior secondary schools popularly dubbed JSS and 2,000 primary schools in various counties. To apply for the junior secondary school internship, candidates must register with the TSC as a teacher and hold a minimum of a diploma in education. Additionally, they should have achieved a minimum grade of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and C+ in at least two teaching subjects.

For those interested in applying for the primary school teacher internship, they must be a registered TSC teacher and hold a P1 certificate.

To apply for TSC internships, candidates should visit the TSC teachers’ online portal at https://teachersonline.tsc.go.ke, log in, select the internship vacancies, and submit their applications.

If the application website does not open or encounters errors, candidates are advised to try accessing it later when there is minimal traffic to the site. More detailed instructions on how to apply can be found on the provided page.
