KNEC Reveals The Grading System for 2020/2021 Examinations Per Subject
The Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC uses a 12-point scale to rate and analyze KCSE Candidates’ general performance during national exams administered once a year.
Worth noting however is the fact that every subject has got a different weighing scale. Some subjects are given more weight than others.

A(78-100), A-(73-77), B+(68-72), B(63-67), B-(58-62), C+(53-57), C(48-52), C-(43-47), D+(38-42), D(33-37), D-(28-32), E(0-27)

was checking the kenyan grading sytem compared with other East African countries , what i found out is that gradind system in kenya is so simplified because most core subjects are given high grades at low marks ( 60-100) A, where in other countries atleast A is btn 75 to 100 but rember there those who go up to 80to 100, so how will you compare the students from the same region with same corse but different grades. it means a studente from kenya can not do a medical coruse in Uganda, or Rwanda, my suggetion here is , why cant’t there be harmonised curriculum for all EAC states for the betterment of its member states. thank you so much
