Release of 2023 KCPE Results now On! Tune in for the Official Release of this Year’s KCPE Results Today! 

The release of the KCPE 2023 results is now live! CS Machogu has already arrived at the Knec Headquarters, a clear indication that the ceremony is on. The ceremony kicked off at exactly 9:40A.M. at Mtihani House. As tradition dictates, President William Ruto was briefed about the KCPE 2023 results at Statehouse on Wednesday November, 2023 at 6:00 P.M.

This is How KCPE is Marked: Marking of the KCPE 2023 Explained!

Marking of multiple-choice questions is the simplest and the most efficient owing to the fact that the Kenya National Examinations Council, Knec has embraced the use of technology by incorporating machines which tap into Artificial Intelligence to capture marked data from candidates’ answer sheets through specialized scanning.

The machines work with a dedicated scanning device that shines a beam of light on the paper. The contrasting reflection at predetermined positions on a page is then used to detect marked areas as they reflect less light than the blank areas of the paper.

The council also requires a minimum of five days to mark Kiswahili Insha and English composition. The Optical Marker Reader machines  usually referred to as OMR are also used to speed up the tallying of Kiswahili Insha and English Composition marks, which were previously done manually by examiners. The two papers are still marked manually.

Tallying of marks is no longer done through physical counts. After marking the Insha and Composition scripts, the examiners will pass over the papers to the new machine, which will do the electronic tallying of marks in record time.

Once the results are ready, the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Education presents them to His Excellency the President at State House for approval. If the President gives a nod, then the CS would have been mandated to go ahead and usurp his powers to release the results.

CHECKING KCPE 2023 RESULTS USING SMS CODE 20076

This is the most effective and fastest way of checking for the results. To get KCPE results 2023 by SMS a candidate is required to send an SMS with your Index Number to 20076.

The service is viable for all the three network providers in the country Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom networks. Send the SMS in the Format: IndexNumberKCPE.

CHECKING KCPE 2023 RESULTS USING KNEC ONLINE PORTAL

To use this method to check 2023 results you only need to remember your index number and access your mobile phone or computer.

Here is the procedure:

• Visit the Official KNEC website (knec.ac.ke)
• Check  for the KCPE Results tab, click on it
• Select the year you sat for the Exams
• Enter your Index number.
• Finally click the Submit button.
• Your KCPE results should show on the screen after a while.

Visiting former Primary School

Finally, candidates can check their KCPE 2021 results by visiting  their former schools a day after the official release of the exam.
