NYS Scandal key suspect Phylis Ngirita today resolved to “alternative” means of solving her case outside court.
She decided to create a fuss that has left many Kenyans wondering about the meaning of the word “chokoraa” a Swahili word which means a street urchin.
Ngirita chose to air her grievances regarding her ongoing NYS Scandal case by screaming herself hoarse outside the law courts.
She claimed that although the NYS scandal case (in which 791 million Kenyan taxpayers’ money is said to have been misappropriated by NYS officers) having many suspects, it is only her family that is being witch-hunted.
She also puzzled Kenyans after claiming that her son is at the verge of becoming a street urchin now that he can only speak English, Kiswahili and Kikuyu.

Ngirita said that her son has dropped out of school owing to the high amount of school fees arrears amounting to Kshs 3.4 million.
Ngirita’s outburst was fueled by the denial by the DCI to access her KCB account and withdraw Kshs 800, 000 meant to cater for her son’s school fees.
This is the second time Phylis Ngirita, one of the suspects in the multimillion National Youth Service corruption Scandal has broken down outside court.
Ngirita aired her grievances outside the Milimani Law courts today on Monday, February 24, 2020, accompanied by her lawyer. She painfully narrated how difficult life had become for her family after her bank accounts were frozen in December 2018.
She insinuated the DCI was applying double standards in the case to oppress her family.
She begged President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene and request for the full list of key suspects in the multimillion NYS Corruption Scandal.
