The five Chinese patients were suspected to have been suffering from the dreaded Corona Virus. This explains why the medics had to flee to safety leaving the five Chinese patients and more patients at the Makindu Sub County Hospital unattended.
This is a clear sign of unpreparedness of many Kenyan hospitals towards containing the spread of the dreaded CoronaVirus, covid-19.
Speaking to The Daily Nation on Saturday, a medic attached to Makindu Sub County Hospital in Makueni County confessed that they had to save themselves since the Chinese national who accompanied the five patients was wearing a protective face mask.
The Nation later on established that the five patients were quarantined and attended to by a doctor wearing protective gear.

The five patients were in a stable condition but one of them had Malaria symptoms.
