Tweeter has rubbished and removed Brazil President’s two tweets questioning coronavirus quarantine safety measures.
The tweets by Brazil president were pulled down on Sunday March 29, 2020 on grounds that they went against the social network rules.
The president had posted several videos that painted his government as flouting the rules of social distancing guidelines.
Two of the posts were pulled down with a notice explaining why they were removed.
Twitter’s Global rules
Twitter recently expanded its global rules to manage any content that contravened public health information from official sources which could put people at a greater risk of transmitting the COVID-19.
In one of the videos, President Bolsonaro converses with a street vendor about the Brazilians’ feelings about the quarantine.
“What I have been hearing from people is that they want to work” says the President.
In another video, President Bolsonaro calls for a return to normality in Brazil. He further questions the quarantine measures imposed by Governors and some mayors across the giant South American Country as an effective means of containing the spread of the virus.
President Bolsonaro says that with the skyrocketing unemployment levels, Brazil will have serious challenges that may spill over to the future.
In Brazil, 3, 904 people have been infected by the novel coronavirus leaving 114 people dead.
Coronavirus defiance?
In the four videos, President Bolsonaro is seen surrounded by small crowds as he strode about the capital.
