TSC Reveals New 2023 recruitment Scoresheet for Secondary School Teachers

The Teachers Service Commission would like to call attention to the following key changes in the 2023 TSC Recruitment Scoresheet; Distribution of Marks and Breaking of a tie.

For starters, ties in the upcoming TSC recruitment 2023 will not be broken using the disability score.

This TSC recruitment Scoresheet change is pegged on the fact that disabled teachers shall be competing amongst themselves now that the Commission has reserved 5% of the advertized vacancies per county for them.

TSC recruitment scoresheet marks for the year of graduation have also been altered to a maximum of 70 as opposed to 60 marks awarded during the July Mass recruitment.

Teachers aged 40 years and above have got an upper hand now that the Commission decided to award them a whooping 25 marks.

Younger applicants will therefore have to experience the patience of a cobra for the older applicants to be absorbed first.

 

Guidelines for recruitment of teachers ;primary and post primary Institutions for both teachers on permanent and pensionable terms of service and interns have been reviewed In line with the current recruitment.

For Secondary Schools the face-to-face Interview which Involves a maximum of 5 marks on communication has been removed.

Disability status has been removed as a tie-breaker since applicants with disabilities will be competing amongst themselves.
