The Teachers Service Commission has advertised 91 promotion vacancies for teachers who would like to get promoted to serve as Deputy Principals- Deputy Principal I T Scale 13; D3.

Their main roles will be to report to the principal, support the principal in the development and implementation of education plans, policies, programs and curriculum activities.

LATEST TSC MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR DEPUTY PRINCIPALS OF NATIONAL AND EXTRA COUNTY SECONDARY SCHOOLS WITH OVER 1, 000 STUDENTS (DEPUTY PRINCIPAL I, GRADE D3 T-SCALE 13)

For one to be appointed as a deputy principal of a national and extra county secondary school with over 1, 000 students (Deputy Principal I, grade D3 T-scale 13) s/he must serve as a Deputy Principal Grade D2 for at least three years.

Secondly, the candidate should be serving under Career Progression Guidelines.

Another requirement is to obtain a satisfactory rating in TPAD

A Masters Degree in the relevant area will be advantageous

The teacher should meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Kenyan Constitution.
