TSC BOSS DR NANCY MACHARIA’S RESPONSE TO THE NEW MASTER’S DEGREE REQUIREMENT FOR TEACHERS SEEKING TSC PROMOTIONS
2019 TSC PROMOTIONS RECRUITMENT STATUS
The Teachers Service Commission Chief Executive Officer Dr Nancy Macharia has responded to the concerns raised by the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) over the new Master’s Degree requirement for teachers seeking TSC promotions.

Dr Macharia responded to this issue in her speech which was read on her behalf by Mr Ibrahim Mumin, the TSC Director in charge of Administration during the 2019 KUPPET’s Annual Delegates Conference at Kenyatta University, Kitui Campus.
The TSC boss admitted that the TSC has already received a formal complaint lodged by KUPPET and they are in the process of solving this stalemate.
She also said that the Commission is faced with the challenge on the discrepancies and it is exploring internal instruments to address the issue amicably.
2019 TSC PROMOTIONS RECRUITMENT STATUS
The Teachers Service Commission is hiring 1, 000 principals and deputies for secondary schools and 6, 000 primary school heads and their deputies who are expected to report to their new work stations this month, December.
Already 16 chief principals in Grade D5 and 516 principals in Grade D3 have been interviewed ahead of posting to national schools.
91 deputy principals, I in Grade D3 and 204 deputy principals II in Grade D2 have also been interviewed.
