A passenger who boarded the Standard Gauge Railway train on Friday, November 9 from Mombasa to Nairobi has died, moments after admission at the Kibwezi Sub-County Hospital.
Florence Makau was okay when the journey began but started feeling dizzy and nauseated as the train approached Kibwezi Town.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Confirming the incident, Florence Makau’s sister, Damaris Makau said her condition became worse forcing the other passengers to offer an emergency response.
Her condition, however, kept on deteriorating prompting the train crew to rush her to Kibwezi Sub- County Hospital for further examination.
BLOOD PRESSURE
Medics at the facility ran a few tests and found out that Florence had a high blood sugar level.
They hence recommended that Florence should be admitted but fate had it that she would later take her last breath later in the evening.
