The recent CBA signed between the teachers unions however is a great disappointment not only to the teachers but also other stakeholders who truly have the interest of the Kenyan teachers at heart.

Besides getting agitated,  the teachers now more than ever feel betrayed by the very union officials they elected to serve their interests.

The non- monetary component in the CBA has paved way for lengthened suffering especially for the lowest paid teachers who will now have to exercise the patience of a cobra and cap their expenditure until another CBA that will come after the next four years is signed.

The former Knut SG Wilson who recently tasted the wrath of the Teachers Service Commission however recently revealed crucial details that may shape the outcome of the looming TSC teachers’ strike that may affect the 2021-2022 KCSE and KCPE national exams.

Statistics revealed by Knec indicate that more than 242,000 teachers have been deployed by the council to man the 2021 KCSE and KCPE national exams.

Mr. Sossion recently said that the union  are now tamed  and leaders chicken out in the face of trouble after him being fought.

Mr Sossion also revealed that indeed teachers were headed for a big win where they were to get Kshs 33 billion as salary increment in the botched July CBA.This is a dissapointing revelation since the teachers were sure until May that they would get the pay increase after SRC signalling it before.

Now that teachers are going for tpd modules, will they now get handsome pay as in other professions such as medicine?
