A sex scandal involving Prophet David Owuor’s former Bishop and personal aide and women in the famous Repentance and Holiness Ministry has emerged.
Following the scandal, Bishop Gitonga has since been expelled from the church.
He was excommunicated on Sunday after several women in the church openly confessed to having sex with him.
Bishop Gitonga is the second most powerful person in Prophet Owuor’s ministry who is greatly adored by the faithful.
The faithful believe that he is the “Mightiest Prophet of the Lord.”

He is among the top brass who had direct contact with the “Mighty Prophet” and acted as a go-between between the prophet and bishops.
He was in charge of several church projects and organized crusades for the prophet across Kenya.
An official notice by Archbishop John Litunda excommunicated Bishop Gitonga and his family from the Glorious Repentance and Holiness Ministry.
A copy of the notice was sent to the National Council of Bishops which is the most superior decision making organ and all pastors.

During the service, the women narrated how Bishop Gitonga had been paring and smearing anointing oil on every body part, including private parts.
One of the women said that the Bishop prayed for her while she was naked.
