Parents raised concerns regarding controversial content which seems to encourage learners to commit suicide and mock people who are mentally handicapped.
Besides, the Smart Score Encyclopedia has got numerous spelling mistakes making it unfit for young learners who are still actively acquiring language.
One of the questions that did not escape parents eyes was “Alice says she looks bad. What should you tell her?” one of the controversial choices provided was “Kill herself.”
According to Jeff Khira, a mental health advocate, rising cases of suicide by primary school children can be attributed to such gross classroom content.
