Nairobi County has advertised a total of 498 posts/ job vacancies for ECDE teachers and caregivers, Job Group G in 2020.

2020 Remuneration/ Salary for Nairobi County ECDE Teachers and CareGivers

ECDE Teachers and Caregivers in Nairobi County will earn a basic salary between Kshs 21,500 and Kshs 28, 970.

In addition to their basic salary, a commuter allowance of Kshs 4, 000 and house allowance of Kshs 6, 750 will be issued.

Nairobi County ECDE 2020 Vacancies- Job Description

 

ECDE  teachers who will be employed by the County Government of Nairobi will be expected to:

  1. Organise and facilitate playing/ learning activities for learners.
  2. Take care of and nurture the spiritual, moral, mental, social, aesthetic, emotional and physical growth of learners (holistic development).
  3. Prepare and develop playing/ learning materials for learners.
  4. Take charge of ECDE classes.
  5. Maintain professional and administrative records- schemes of work, lesson plans, learners attendance register and a daily programme of activities.
  6. Teach in class.
