Meet Corona and Covid, the twins born during the Coronavirus world pandemic

Coronavirus: strange as couple names newborn twins Covid (boy) and Corona (girl)

• A couple has named their twins COVID and Corona amidst coronavirus pandemic.
• Covid is a boy while Corona is a girl.
• The couple chose the two names: Covid and Corona for the twins to act as a reminder of the trouble they went through to have a successful delivery.
• At least one million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus dubbed COVID-19 worldwide.
• COVID-19 has so far claimed over 40, 000 lives

A couple has shocked the world after they decided to name their twins Corona and COVID amidst the coronavirus pandemic that has greatly affected the world.

This is ironic given the fact that no single person right now would like to be associated with the Coronavirus.

The couple, Indian said that the names Covid and Corona will remind them of the challenges they braved including a lockdown ahead of successful delivery of their bundles of joy “Covid and Corona”

The mother, Preeti Verma delivered the twins at a public health facility in India a few days ago.

“I was blessed with the twins-a boy and a girl in the early hours of March 27. We have named them Covid (boy) and Corona (girl)  for now” said the mother.

She further added that although the coronavirus is an imminent threat to people’s lives, it made them adopt good habits, hygiene included.

The idea of naming the twins Covid and Corona was initiated by the hospital staff.
