Agitated CS Education Professor Magoha has issued a stern warning to journalists who are using his name to issue contradicting statements about schools’ reopening date hence making him look like a fool.

While visiting Pwani University on Wednesday to assess the institution’s level of preparedness ahead of the reopening, the no-nonsense CS reiterated that his position has not shifted.

“The position has not changed. However we may reconsider schools’ reopening date depending on how the virus behaves,” said the CS.

Magoha further told off journalists for misquoting him on school reopening dates. He blamed the media for making him look like a fool by painting a picture of him as a person who flips-flops.

“The media has made me look like someone who did not go to school. They have made me look like a person who flip-flops; someone who says this today, and says that tomorrow. I want to tell you (journalists) that I am above that kind of nonsense,” said Magoha.

Magoha: Government has Developed Prototype Coronavirus Desks ahead of Schools’ Reopening

The CS also stated that the Government has set aside at least Ksh1.9 billion for the making of new desks which would make it possible for social distancing to be effected once learning resumes.

“The government has developed a prototype of desks to be used in schools in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak. I have instructed all the 47 county commissioners to come to Nairobi and take a design of the prototype back to their respective counties so that the desk designs can be replicated at the sub-county level,” said the CS.
