Murkomen led other MPS loyal to the Deputy President who have since been branded “Team Tanga Tanga” to join the BBI rally in Mombasa on Jan 25 2020 that is being championed by Kenya’s Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
As the Tanga Tanga allied MPS Mohammed Ali, Moses Kuria, Aisha Jumwa and Khatib Mwashetani made their way to Mama Ngina grounds yesterday, there was brief tension emanating from the rowdy crowd that sought to have them barred from accessing the venue.
It took the intervention of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to calm the tension after he pleaded with the chanting crowd to allow the Tanga Tanga leaders join them.
Leaders from both factions- Tanga Tanga and Kieleweke joined the BBI Rally in Mombasa yesterday.
Some of the leaders who turned up for the Mombasa BBI rally on Saturday are Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and Charity Ngilu (Kitui).
