Robinson Fwaro Makokha Offered Scholarship by Kodris Africa
Robinson Fwaro Makokha, one of the candidates who scored 431 marks in the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) has been offered a scholarship by software company Kodris Africa.
According to Kodris, Fwaro will be sponsored through his secondary school education, which will include entire school fees costs, coding licenses and the relevant tools including a laptop.
The student, who on Wednesday shared his ambition to become a software engineer, will also learn coding, a major skill offered by Kodris.
“We saw on the news that Fwaro would like to become a software engineer. The skill that takes him there is coding, and we want to set him on a firm footing towards achieving his dreams. Coding is one of the most sought-after skills in the world today, and Fwaro is setting the pace,” Kodris CEO Mugumo Munene said in a press release on Thursday.

In the 2022 KCPE, female candidates performed better than their male counterparts in three languages among them English, Kiswahili, and Sign language.
Male candidates performed better than female candidates in Maths, Science, Social Studies, and Religious Education.
Four counties recorded more male than female candidates this year. They are Turkana, Garissa, Wajir and Mandera.
