ICT TEACHER ARRESTED FOLLOWING THE HACKING OF FOUR DIFFERENT SCHOOL BANK ACCOUNTS
CHUKA BOYS, NEP GIRLS, GARISSA HIGH AND KISUMU GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOLS DEFRAUDED AFTER A BOM TEACHER GOING BY THE NAME MR SIFUNA HACKED THEIR BANK ACCOUNTS

A total of four schools have lost over 300, 000 shillings after a BOM teacher, Mr Sifuna Mnagala hacked their school bank accounts.

Mr Sifuna who is well versed with the most recent trends in Information Communication and Technology allegedly interfered with the schools’ portal details and directed all school fees to his pay bill numbers.

His alleged crime was brought into the limelight following complaints from parents of form one students at Chuka Boys High School. The parents and guardians claimed that they had paid all the school fees but to their utter surprise, the amount paid was not reflecting in the system.
Other schools affected include Garissa High School, Kisumu Girls High School and Nep Girls High School.
ARRESTED
Mr Sifuna was arrested by DCI detectives in Ndaragwa, Nyandarua County where he was hiding.
The 25-year-old was found with a laptop and some sim cards at the time of his arrest.
Mr Sifuna has worked in several schools in Meru County as an ICT teacher. before he was taken in, he was working at Iruru Girls High School on BOM terms.
