| This is a promotional position for trainers at CEMASTEA. The Director is the lead educator at the Centre and is responsible for the provision of strategic direction and administration. He/she is also responsible for the realization of the Centre’s mandate which entails developing capacity of teachers in mathematics and sciences. The holder of this position is also responsible for the management of the day to day operations of the Centre. | · have served as Deputy Director T-Scale 14 for a minimum period of three (3) years; · be a holder of Masters Degree in Education or its equivalent; · have a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal; · have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other trainers; · have a valid Teaching Certificate; · meet the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution; and · meet any other requirements deemed necessary by the Commission.

| This is a promotional position for trainers at CEMASTEA. The Deputy Director assists the Director in the day to day management of the Centre including planning, coordinating and overseeing implementation of training programmes and support services. | · have served as Dean of Studies T-Scale 13 or an equivalent grade in the education sector for a minimum period of three (3) years; · be a holder of Masters Degree in Education or its equivalent; · have a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal; · have successfully undertaken the relevant TPD modules; · have a valid Teaching Certificate; · demonstrate ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other trainers; · meet the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution; and · meet any other requirements deemed necessary by the Commission.

| This is a promotional position for trainers at CEMASTEA. The Dean of Studies is responsible for the general administration of the institution. This entail planning, designing, coordinating, controlling resources and overseeing implementation of the Centre’s core mandate including building and enhancing capacity of all secondary and primary schools mathematics and science teachers. A trainer in this position is responsible for planning, harmonizing and implementing all training programmes and activities of the different departments within CEMASTEA. This will include; training and academics, research and development, primary programme, secondary programme, performance contracting and partnerships and linkages. | · have served as National Trainer II T-Scale 9 for a minimum period of three (3) years; · be a holder of Bachelors Degree in Education or its equivalent; · have a Masters Degree in Education or its equivalent; · have a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal; · have successfully undertaken the relevant TPD modules; · have a valid Teaching Certificate; · meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution; and · meet any other requirements deemed necessary by the Commission.

What are the roles of CEMASTEA Trainers?
CEMASTEA trainers are charged with the responsibility of overseeing and coordinating ICT training programs at the center level and in the whole country.
They also guide and supervise the development of ICT training materials;
Allocation and supervision of duties to the ICT staff and other trainers;
Briefing and advising the Director on all training/ICT matters in the institution;
Chairing meetings of ICT training staff and technical staff;
Maintaining safety and custody of all ICT assets and equipment in the institution;
Developing training programs and compiling training reports;
0rganising and conducting sensitization workshops for education managers;
Organizing training of all staff on matters of ICT;
Developing a maintenance schedule for ICT equipment;
Preparing departmental budget and procurement plan;
Conducting training needs assessment and developing training curriculum and materials;
Developing training programs and conducting monitoring and evaluation; and
Providing ICT technical support services at the institution.
