Their main aim was to prevent Bobi from holding a music concert at his beach in Busabala which is located at the shores of Lake Victoria.
Little did they know what they were settling for, it was not business as usual.
Bobi Wine miraculously disappeared obliging the police to comb nearby shops for hours on end in vain.
It was some sort of Abracadabra!
BRAIN IS MIGHTIER THAN PHYSICAL SIZE is a saying that most of us are aware of.
It, therefore, may appear mundane until it finally becomes applicable. This is the time you sit back and watch the drama unfold…
Yesterday, Ugandans gathered for celebrations to mark 57 years of independence. However, as the celebrations went on, Kyadondo East Member of Parliament alias Bobi Wine ensured that he kept the police “busy.”
Bobi wine engaged in a cat and mouse race in Kampala.
TIGHT SECURITY
Although the heavily armed police had surrounded his home in Magere intending to halt his music concert at his beach in Busabala, their efforts proved futile.
The swift musician had already figured a way out of the whole mess. His miraculous disappearance gave the police a hard time since they had to comb the suburbs of Kampala in search of the MP.
On Tuesday the police had cancelled Bobi’s concert through a formal announcement but Bobi is not a man who can easily swallow defeat.
The arm-twisting Mr Kyagulanyi had stood his ground regarding the concert. Due to his hard stance, heavy boots had been deployed at his home.
THE TRIUMPHANT ENTRY!
At around noon Bobi Wine miraculously showed up in town riding on a Bodaboda.
Behind him was a multitude which could not help sharing the glory of beating the mighty boots hands down.
When asked how the MP managed to escape the hawk-like police deployed at his home, Mr Onyango said that Bobi did not spend the night at the heavily guarded home.
How could he? Bobi has learnt more than enough from the hard school of life. He thus knows better than walking straight into a lion’s den.
THE WILD CHASE
Spotting a white T-shirt, faded blue jeans and white sneakers Bobi’s appearance was spectacular. The red beret on his head crowned it all.

As he rode on his Boda Boda, he could not help waving at his supporters who lined up the side of the road while chanting.
The supporters could not just hold back their excitement at the dramatic turn of events.
This further enraged the police, prompting them to chase.
The police tried to grab him but they failed miserably before all end sundry.
Other Boda Boda riders jumped the bandwagon. They joined the chase while shouting and chanting freedom songs.
Bobi finally entered “Jerusalem” that is Kikuubo with the police in hot pursuit.
CORNERED
As he turned left to Namirembe Road, a police officer fell into his step forcing him to jump off the Boda Boda.
He swiftly made for the New Taxi Park at Nkadde Mall before jumping on another Boda Boda.
His frantic efforts were welcome bearing in mind the ululation and chanting of the masses.
As the crowd enjoyed the free of charge drama, business people were counting their losses.
Business had come to a standstill in the town’s nerve centre.
Police patrol cars combed the capital for the elusive musician. Several people were arrested to prove that WHEN THE HOUSE OF A GREAT ONE FALLS MANY LITTLE ONES ARE SLAIN.
A PAT ON THE SHOULDER BY THE GODS
In protest, the skies opened up paving way for a heavy downpour.
The heavy rain cleared the streets hence derailing the course.
The police lost track of Bobi again! He reappeared in Kamwokya forcing the military, local defence units among other security operatives to offer a hand to the police.
Bobi disappeared again forcing the security operative frisk his Fire Bas Studio in vain!
In support of the MP, some protesters burnt car tyres and demanded for Bobi to be given a chance to hold the concert.
The hero later emerged out of his hide-out and addressed the media at his home in Magere.
He rebuked the police for getting involved in “Presidential issues.”
