Controversial Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi Arrested for Spreading Unfounded Claims about Coronavirus
Cyprian Nyakundi, a blogger has been arrested after he published a rather controversial article about a senior KRA Official on his Twitter account.

According to Nyakundi, the senior KRA Official had traveled out of the country but failed to self-quarantine upon his return.
Confirming the arrest, Nairobi Region Police Commander said that blogger Nyakundi is currently being held at the DCI offices in Nairobi.

Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi is expected to answer to several charges anchored on the Cyber Crime and Computer Misuse Act 2018 among them causing unnecessary panic and tension by spreading unfounded claims about Coronavirus.
On Friday last week, another blogger Robert Alai was also arrested and charged on Monday for contravening the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act 2018.
Alai had allegedly claimed that the Kenyan Government could be hiding Coronavirus related deaths at the Port of Mombasa.
He was released on a Kshs 50, 000 cash bail.
