KCPE 2023 Top 100 Candidates in Nakuru County

Molo Academy Mixed Primary School is celebrating astounding results after emerging among the KCPE 2023 top performing schools in Nakuru County with a mean of  364.54. Radiance School, on the other hand, stole the limelight after emerging  among the KCPE 2023 top schools in Nakuru County. The school’s best girl scored 420 marks. Moi Primary School also posted astounding KCPE 2023 results to emerge top after 22 candidates from the school scored over 400 marks. The school’s top KCPE 2023 candidate Erick Kigiri garnered 421 marks while the best girl, Winnie Muthoni scored 420 marks. St. Peter’s Elite, Gilgil also emerged among the KCPE 2023 top-performing schools in Nakuru County. The school registered a total of 109 candidates for the 2023 KCPE examinations. Nakuru County prides itself in producing several schools in the top 20 KCPE 2023 results regionally among them Radiance School, Moi Primary School and St. Peter’s Elite. Moi Kabarak Primary school takes insurmountable pride in taking position one in Nakuru County.

The school posted an impressive mean score of 382 thus appearing in the KCPE 2022 Top 20 schools regionally. It was followed by Sun and Shield School with a mean of 380.13.

The top candidate from the school, Jesere Toigat, scored 425 marks hence emerging among the best in Nakuru County and the Rift Valley region.

Girls Vs Boys Performance

In the 2022 KCPE, female candidates performed better than their male counterparts in three languages among them English, Kiswahili, and Sign language.

Male candidates performed better than female candidates in Maths, Science, Social Studies, and Religious Education.

Four counties recorded more male than female candidates this year. They are Turkana, Garissa, Wajir and Mandera.

 

Key Statistics and Figures in KCPE 2022: 

1. KCPE 2022: 62 310 adults sat the KCPE exam which represents 5.08% of the total candidature population.
2. KCPE 2021: the number of adults who sat the exam were 29 607, representing 2.42% of the total population that sat the exam. 

The number of adults who sat the KCPE exams this year increased according to statistics from the Ministry of Education.

The statistics show that 62,310 adults sat the exams which represent 5.08 per cent of the total candidates’ population.

Last year, the adults who sat the exams were 29,607, representing 2.42 per cent.

 

The statistics also show that all counties registered an increase in adult candidates from last year.

The results were released on Wednesday December 16, 2022 by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu at Mitihani House in Nairobi.

The statistics also showed that the number of candidates who were 12 years and below declined.

Machogu said that the number dropped from 33,627 (2.74%) in 2021 to 31,498 (2.53%) in 2022.

The CS said that the decline shows that children are enrolled in school at the right age.
