<p><strong> 2023 form one selection</strong> is a computerized and highly moderated process through which the Ministry of Education in Kenya ensures that all primary school graduates transit fully to national, extra county, county and sub-county secondary schools under the 100 per cent transition policy formulated by the government.</p>
<p>During the release of this year&#8217;s KCPE results CS Ezekiel Machogu Ombaki announced that the 2023 form one selection exercise will take place between Monday January 9, 2023 and Friday January 13, 2023.</p>
<h1><strong>2023 Form One Joining Instructions</strong></h1>

<p>In preparation for Form One admission, schools are required to make changes to their previous letters through an online tool to reflect joining instructions for the 2023.</p>
<p>This is to inform you of the following guidelines; –</p>
<ol>

<li>Select County and Sub- County of your school, then Select your</li>
<li>If the system prompts you to sign in, use your school email address <strong>(Gmail Account).</strong></li>
<li>If your letter is in the system, edit the information to the new changes for joining instructions</li>
</ol>
<h1>NB: Do not edit the first page apart from changing the year to 2023</h1>
<p>In case the school’s joining instructions is missing, the system will prompt the Principal to upload the joining instructions in the system from their computer. The Principal should ensure that;</p>
<ol>
<li>The first page is as the attached copy (school logo/address on the first page only) and should not be</li>
<li>The letter should be in MS-word</li>
<li>The letter should be submitted as one document</li>
<li>The document should be named using the school’s KNEC (e.g., Meru School save as <strong>15300002).</strong></li>
<li>Avoid heavy graphics like maps and pictures in the</li>

<p>Meanwhile schools are requested to provide their email addresses as well as well as that of the person in charge of ICT to their respective County Director for compilation and forwarded to <a href="mailto:Lkkaruntimi@gmail.com">Lkkaruntimi@gmail.com. </a>Schools should not send the information directly but through the CDE.</p>
<p>In addition, take note of the following: –</p>

<p>Form One Placement Confirmation by SMS</p>
<p>The SMS confirmation code that KCPE candidates can use to confirm their form one selection results is 22263.</p>
<p>Compose a short message on your mobile phone containing the CANDIDATE&#8217;S index number and fill in the code 22263 as the recipient at a cost not exceeding Kshs 25 per SMS.</p>
<p>Form One Placement Results Online (Selection) 2023</p>
<p>The online procedure requires you to access the ministry of education&#8217;s website using the simplified steps below:</p>
<p>1. Click <a href="https://www.education.go.ke/form-one-selection">Here</a> to log into the ministry of education website-form one placement tab.</p>
<p>2. From the drop-down menu, select the county and Sub-County where the candidate took the KCPE 2022 Examinations from for instance Nakuru County then Molo Sub-County.</p>
<p>3. Enter the KCPE Candidate&#8217;s index number.</p>
<p>4. Hit the SUBMIT tab.</p>
<p>5. The last step is to click on the tab labelled ADMISSION LETTER at the bottom of the page and wait for a few seconds for it to download.</p>
<p>6. Once the download is over, print the letter then present it to your former Headteacher for endorsement at your former primary school. The letter should be accompanied by passport size photos and the KCPE Candidate&#8217;s result slip.</p>
<p>When reporting to your new secondary school, present a certified copy of your birth certificate.</p>
