KCSE Results 2021: The Kenyan social media is awash with speculations on how the and when the KCSE 2020 Knec results will be released by the CS Education Professor George Magoha.
Since Friday, Candidates have been full of anxiety with some mainstream media houses misleading the general public that results could be ready.
This forced CS Magoha to come out clean and clear the air on when the results will be released on Friday May 7, 2021.
Speaking at Starehe Boys Centre, one of the designated Knec marking Centres, the CS made it clear that the results had not been processed since the marking of Geography Paper II was ongoing following low turn out of seasoned examiners.
Official KCSE Results Release Date (May 10, 2021)
Since the CS cleared the speculations that exam results could be released on Friday, it is therefore obvious that the 2020 KCSE Results will be released on Monday May 10, 2021 as earlier announced by the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Education Professor George Magoha.
CS Magoha will officially receive the moderated and processed Knec Results for the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Education KCSE summative national exam.
He will then proceed to present the KCSE 2020 Results to President Uhuru Kenyatta for endorsement.
CS Magoha will then head straight to Mtihani House in Nairobi where cameras will be ready to roll for the Live Coverage of the anxiously waited for KCSE 2020-2021 KNEC Results.
KCSE Results 2020-2021 Released Pre-maturely
Our attention has however been drawn to an audio clip that captured a well connected KCSE Examiner whose identity has been concealed for obvious reasons giving insights on the KCSE Results 2021.
The audio clip shared on social media platforms leaks important information on how the KCSE 2020-2021 exams were marked, performance per subject and the latest Knec Grading System 2021
The Examiner is heard assuring a KCSE Candidate that he performed very well in Business Paper II and in other subjects.
“Nearly everybody in our school scored over 80%,” said the Examiner.

The 9 minute audio recording also denotes the Examiner’s confidence that his school will take the lead in Business Studies nationally.
Business Studies Paper II Knec Grading System 2021
According to the Examiner, candidates performed dismally in Business Paper II and this may force the Council to lower the grading system to 80% for an A Plain in the Subject.
Knec Grading System for History (KCSE 2020-2021)
The Examiner further notes that Candidates did very well in History. Therefore the Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC may raise the cut off points for an A in History.
“The guys who are having problems are History Candidates since the Performance is very good ” the Examiner added.
Chemistry is however likely to record a drop during this year’s KCSE Results.
Knec KCSE Grading System 2021
The well versed Examiner describes Grading as the last step done by Knec after the averaging of scores in the various KCSE examinable subjects.
It is the Council which determines the grading system per subject.
This information comes at a time when Knec has trashed the 2021 Knec Grading System doing rounds on social media.
” A team leader or Chief Examiner can only suggest but the Council has the final decision on the 2021 Knec Grading System.”
