This is proof that Nairobi County remains a coronavirus hot spot in Kenya.

There is a flicker of hope however since most of the coronavirus positive cases range from mild to moderate.

Home-based care

Speaking during a live press briefing, Dr. Mwangangi said that the MOH was in the process of finalizing home-based care guidelines that will be used to treat mild cases of the coronavirus at home.

She said that the government shall assess first whether the coronavirus patient’s home is viable for quarantine before giving a go-ahead.

Stringent coronavirus prevention measures

Barbershop and salon attendants have been directed to put on masks while attending to clients.

Besides, they should limit the number of people being attended to enhance social distancing.
