How to Log in to Egerton University Students Portal online, for Registration, E-Learning, Hostel Booking, Fees, Courses and Exam Results

Universities have Students Portals that enable students to get many services online at their convenience. To access the Student Portal, one must be a duly registered student. Once admitted to university, a student is given the Students Portal Log in credentials; Registration Numbers and Password. EGERTON UNIVERSITY EDUCATION COURSES

The university offers a wide range of education courses in its Faculty of Education.

Admission Requirements

Candidates admitted to the Degree of Bachelor of Education (Science) must satisfy the minimum entrance requirements of the Egerton University. They must also satisfy departmental requirements before registering for courses in the respective departments. In satisfying the minimum entrance requirements of the University, candidates must have passed the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with the minimum grades against each subject as indicated below: C+ in Mathematics C+ in any of the following:
  • (i) Physics
  • (ii) Chemistry
  • (iii) Biology
  • (iv) Geography or B- in any of the following subjects: Physical Sciences Biological sciences Alternatively, admission may be granted to holders of Diploma/S1 certificate in science Education from Institutions recognised by Egerton University provided the diplomas are at credits and above.
Bachelor of Education Course Requirements: Mean grade C+ (Plus) at KCSE and at least C+ in each of the two teaching subjects, 2 principal passes at A’Level and 1 subsidiary in relevant subjects, Diploma in Education (May be exempted in relevant units). P1 teachers must have scored C+ at KCSE to qualify.

New TPAD 2 Termly Calendar of activities

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, requires each school to plan for the termly appraisals for teachers. All the teachers are to be appraised under the new Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD 2) system.

The New/ Revised TPAD Online System provides a module where all TPAD activities will be uploaded throughout the appraisal period by appraisee, appraiser and countersigning officer.

The planning for the term’s appraisal activities should be done few days before the schools open. There should be continuous monitoring and reporting of the appraisals during the term.

How to download 2020/2021 KUCCPS Admission letter to Meru University; 2020 KUCCPS Admission list pdf

Congratulations for getting admission at Meru University after your successful application. Students joining Meru University are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after sitting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

Important notice to all students admitted by KUCCPS to Tangaza University College.

All students will be expected to report to the College on (check date on your admission letter) at 8.30am for orientation and thereafter classes. They will be required to carry the following documents with them:
1. KCSE Certificate (Original and two copies)
2. School leaving Certificate (Original and two copies)
3. National ID Card (Original and two copies)
4. 2 coloured passport size photographs

All government sponsored students will be expected to meet any other costs (administrative, tuition, accommodation etc) that will be over and above the fee that is met by the government.

The fees for this semester for government sponsored students is KShs. (check on admission letter). All fees should be paid before reporting to the university on (check on admission letter). Further information on fees shall be provided during the orientation or open day.

All student will be required to apply to the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) for financial assistance. This can be done on the HELB website http://www.helb.co.ke.

Due to limited space on campus, students are advised to seek alternative accommodation outside the university. Please get assistance from the Office of Student Life or your Institute.

There will be an open day for all government sponsored students from (check on admission letter). Kindly avail yourself on any one of these days to receive your admission letter and to get more information about Tangaza University College.

MURUGURU SECONDARY SCHOOL’S KCSE RESULTS

Individual candidates can check their KCSE results by sending an SMS with their full index number (11digits) followed by the word KCSE. The SMS can be sent from any subscriber’s line (Safaricom, Airtel or any other) to 20076. For example, send the SMS in the format 23467847002KCSE to 20076. There should be no space left between the index number and the word KCSE.

One can also download the whole school’s KCSE results by Visiting the Official KNEC exams portal; https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/.  This one requires the school’s log in credentials.

Finally, candidates can visit the school for their results. This is usually a day after the results have been released. It is important that you check your result slip to ensure there are no errors on it. Be keen to see that details such as your name, index number and sex are accurate. In case of any discrepancy, please notify your principal or KNEC immediately for correction.

ALUOR GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL’S KCSE RESULTS

Individual candidates can check their KCSE results by sending an SMS with their full index number (11digits) followed by the word KCSE. The SMS can be sent from any subscriber’s line (Safaricom, Airtel or any other) to 20076. For example, send the SMS in the format 23467847002KCSE to 20076. There should be no space left between the index number and the word KCSE.

One can also download the whole school’s KCSE results by Visiting the Official KNEC exams portal; https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/.  This one requires the school’s log in credentials.

Finally, candidates can visit the school for their results. This is usually a day after the results have been released. It is important that you check your result slip to ensure there are no errors on it. Be keen to see that details such as your name, index number and sex are accurate. Sat for your KCSE examination and attained the minimum University Entry Grade and have been selected to join Chuka University (CU)? Well. Congratulations for this your major achievement. Students joining university are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after doing their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

  • Step 2: Move to ‘Prospective students’ submenu on the left and click ‘Admission letters (KUCCPS)’
  • Step 3. Log in with your Surname and Index Number.
    For example: If your Name is ODIEK CHEPKIRUI MWANAISHA and Index Number is
    4040303030/2019, enter your login details as follows:
  • Step 4: Click ‘Submit’
  • Step 5. Download your letter and print.
  • Step 6. On the left, click to download each of the following forms:

Various accredited universities offer Courses in Education for prospective students who want to be teachers. The universities have course specific requirements for the various Arts and Sciences courses. They also offer various teaching subjects combinations. Egerton University has three (3) Campuses and one Campus College. The main Campus is based at Njoro and houses the Faculties of Agriculture, Arts and Social Sciences, Education and Community Studies, Engineering and Technology, Environment and Resources Development, Science and Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. The Njoro Campus also houses the Board of Undergraduate Studies and Field Attachment, and the Board of Postgraduate Studies. The other Campus is the Nairobi City Campus, offering programmes from the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Commerce, and Education and Community Studies. It also hosts the African Centre for Distance Education (ACDE). The third Campus, Kenyatta Campus, is located five (5) kilometres from Njoro Campus and is planned to house the Open and Distance Learning (CODL) programmes which is currently based at Njoro Campus. The only University’s Campus College, Nakuru Town Campus College, hosts the Faculties of Commerce and Health Sciences. The University currently has nine (9) faculties and fifty one (51) academic departments offering a wide range of programmes at diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. All of them are open to both Government-sponsored and selfsponsored students. Candidates admitted to the Degree of Bachelor of Education (Science) must satisfy the minimum entrance requirements of the Egerton University. Congratulations for getting admission at Laikipia University after your successful application. Students joining Laikipia University are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after sitting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.
