  1. Akothee: official name-Esther Akoth

Despite her life being riddled by drama and scandals, Akothee has reaped big time during her short lifespan in the Kenyan music industry.

Akothee’s net worth is estimated to be Kshs 600 million.

Besides, the millionaire has posh beach resort in Diani, Mombasa, a real estate company, a Kshs 80 million house in Rongo Town, a tour company and several porch cars that are worth noting.

One of her most famous business enterprises is Akothee Safaris- a tours and travel company.

One of her daughters is also falling into her mother’s footsteps.

Wahu is the second richest female artist in Kenya. Wahu’s net worth exceeds that of Linet Munyali given the numerous joint assets that she owns together with her husband David Mathenge popularly known as Nameless.

Wahu’s hit songs include Sitishiki, Niangalie and Liar which saw her rise to stardom.

In 2008, Wahu won the Best Female Artist Category of the Inaugural MTV Africa Music Award.

Other notable awards bagged by Wahu include Kisima Awards in 2008- Best Song category and the Pearl of Africa Music Awards- Best Female Artist category.

Wahu and Nameless’ net worth is estimated to be over Kshs 100 million.

  1. Linet Munyali AKA Size 8

The recently saved size 8 comes second in our richest female musicians in Kenya 2020.

She changed gear after abandoning secular music for gospel hits.

Her debut gospel song “Mateke” has seen her rise further.

One interesting fact about Size 8 is that her mum almost aborted her, as she was going through tumultuous times in her marriage.

Linet Munyali’s mother was not sure whether she wanted another baby but the doctor who attended to her was able to convince her otherwise.

She currently hosts the Pambio Shoe every Sunday alongside DJ Ruff.

Size 8 got married to DJ MO- Samwel Muraya in 2013 and together they have a dotting daughter Ladasha Belle Muraya.

Apart from music, Size 8 has invested a great deal in companies which fetch her up to Kshs 500, 000 per month while her husband DJ MO earns least Kshs 600, 000 in a month.

  1. Habida

Habida is a talented Kenyan musician and model. When she was abroad, Habida collaborated with Kiko Romeo and featured in drama at Lewisham college and music at Kennesaw State University in Atlanta.

Habida won the Best Video Award at the East African CHAT Awards in 2020.

Her hit songs include My Reason

She grew up as a tomboy. That is why Habida is still addicted to Timberland’s shoes.

Habida also suffers from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, OCD since she dreads germs.

She is married to a Nigerian husband and together they have two children.
