TSC BUDGETARY ALLOCATION FOR HIRING AND PROMOTION OF TEACHERS 2020/2021; BELOW IS A DETAILED BREAKDOWN FOR THE 2020/2021 NEW AND RECURRENT EXPENDITURE BY TSC AND THE EDUCATION SECTOR

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC which is responsible for the hiring and promotion of teachers in Kenya was allocated 2.0 billion for the recruitment of 5, 000 teachers on permanent and pensionable terms and another 2.4 billion for the hiring of 10, 000 intern teachers.
