Reprieve as MoE Finally Releases the 2021 Official Reporting Dates for Form Ones
The long wait of anxiety has ultimately come to an end after the Ministry of Education unveiled official reporting dates for form one 2021 students.
Guidelines from the ministry of education have revealed reporting dates will only last for five days.
According to the just released circular, a total of 1,187,517 form ones are expected to report between 19th and 23rd July, 2021.
Incidentally, other learners will be on recess since the 2021 academic year starts on 26th July, 2021.
At the same time, the government has indicated that students who will be dissatisfied with schools placed will have a grace period of one month to apply for change of placement.
The review period is slated to run from the 20th June to 20th July.
It is important to note that the 2021 Application for change of placement will be done online and will depend on availability of vacancies in ‘preferred schools.
More than 33,000 KCPE 2020 candidates will join National schools while 184, 816 will join Extra county schools. 188, 454 students are expected to join county schools.
669, 145 students will join sub county schools.
How to download form one 2021 admission letter.
It is worth-nothing that secondary schools do not send admission letters to students. The ministry of education has provided a simple online platform where form one 2021 students can conveniently download their admission letter.
To download your letter follow these steps:
Go to: Form one 2021 admission letter For National Schools, Form one 2020 admission letter For Extra county Schools and Form one 2021 admission letter For County Schools.
Select the county and sub-county you sat KCPE then key in your index number and Submit.
Click on the link named “admission letter” at the bottom of the page for a copy of your admission letter.
Use the printer icon to print or download icon to download to your computer.
Get your primary school’s headteacher to endorse the letter and stamp it in the space provided.
Finally, present it for admission together with a certified copy of birth certificate.
Form One Selection Results
The form one Selection Results will be released on June 16 and all the 2020 KCPE candidates are expected to be placed in various secondary schools based on merit and affirmative action to ensure regional balance as per the government’s 100 per cent transition policy.
