only the top five candidates will receive a formal invitation per school to attend the TSC Recruitment interviews scheduled next week&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The shortlists containing top five candidates only have been dispatched to respective schools and received by school heads&period; The applicants&&num;8217&semi; shortlist has replaced the traditional merit list owing to the fact that only a handful of the applicants will be allowed to attend the interviews&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Number of TSC Recruitment Vacancies<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Teachers Service Commission is set to recruit an excess of 10&comma;000 teachers in both primary and secondary schools this month&period; Collection of Shortlisted applicants lists by school heads is underway&period; In the list seen by the author of the article&comma; only five applicants have been shortlisted&period; The applicants shortlist has replaced the famous merit list&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The list contains the name of the applicants&comma; telephone number and TSC number only&period; Important details like marks of the candidate&comma; year of graduation and internship marks has been omitted from the list previously know as merit list&period; The lists seem to compromise transparency as key information on merit has been omitted&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In the new recruitment guidelines released by TSC&comma; qualified teachers who have evidence of internship will stand high chances of securing TSC jobs&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>However&comma; the commission has reduced marks for suitable applicants who will provide evidence for internship&period; Previously&comma; applicants who produced evidence for internship secured 30 marks&period; Surprisingly&comma; the commission has now reduced those marks to 15&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It is important to note that teachers who are serving in internship programme will have a head start others&period; This will automatically give them an upper hand&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Here is how internship marks will be awarded&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Evidence of internship service<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Served for three &lpar;3&rpar; years – 15 marks<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Served for two &lpar;2&rpar; years – 10 marks<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Served for &lpar;1&rpar; year -5 marks<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>MAXIMUM SCORE – 15 marks<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Another factor that will increase chances of one to get employed is the quality of certificate&period;
