The Teachers Service Commission, TSC has directed teachers to upload supporting documents for all their dependents for the TSC AON Minet insurance fund.
The deadline for uploading the documents has been set on June 15, 2020. Therefore tutors have got less than 10 days to upload the documents.
“The TSC medical scheme requires you to submit supporting documents for your dependant/s. upload the documents on https;//collaborationkenya.minet.com/tsc by 15th June 2020,” read part of the message.

TSC AON MINET SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR DEPENDENTS
The documents that tutors should upload before the set deadline include
- Marriage certificate or an affidavit showing evidence of marriage (for teachers with spouses). The affidavit can be accessed easily from the nearest Commissioner of oaths office at an affordable fee (minimum of Kshs 1, 500)
- Birth certificates or birth notification of all children below 18 years.
- Change of dependent supporting documents, evidence
- Adoption certificate for the principal member’s adopted, child or children
- National Identity cards
- Proof of school for children who have already attained the age of 18 but are still enrolled in higher institutions of learning. (A Student ID)
- In the case of an amendment to originally declared information, a change of details document.
HOW TO UPLOAD TSC AON DEPENDENTS’ DOCUMENTS ONLINE
REQUIREMENTS AND ELIGIBILITY
Not every teacher in Kenya is eligible to upload their TSC AON dependents’ documents. Besides, the Teachers’ Service Commission, TSC has limited the number of dependents as follows;
PRINCIPAL MEMBER
The TSC AON medical scheme is available for all principal members. A principal member refers to a teacher employed by the TSC on permanent and pensionable terms and is still in active service.
All TSC employed teachers who are in active service are automatically eligible for the TSC AON Minet medical scheme.
Therefore, no other supporting documents should be uploaded for the TSC AON Minet principal members.
DEPENDENTS
The following dependents are eligible for the TSC AON Minet cover;
Only one legal spouse
A maximum of four unmarried or legally adopted children aged between 38 weeks (full-term birth) and 18 years. This condition can be extended to 25 years if the children are enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution. You may need a proof of this- a student ID showing the institution where the student is currently undertaking their studies and the validity period.
NOTE: No age limit has been set for Dependents living with a disability.
CHANGE OF TSC AON MINET DEPENDENTS; CONDITIONS
Upon registration, the principal member can’t change their dependents until the end of the policy period. The policy year ends in September every year.
The principal member can only change their dependents in the event of death or divorce.
CONDITIONS FOR COVER- AON DEPENDENTS
Babies born pre-maturely are covered under the TSC AON maternity cover.
The legal spouse is covered up to the age limit of 70 years.
The cover is limited to the principal member’s nuclear family. Relatives from the principal member’s extended family such as mother, father, uncle, aunt, and nieces are not legible for the cover.

STEP 1: SCANNING THE DOCUMENTS
Scan the required documents and store them in your email or an easily accessible location.
STEP 2: OFFICIAL AON MINET UPLOAD PORTAL
Click on the following link to visit the official AON Minet self- service portal
STEP 3: LOGIN
Log in by entering the following essential details; full name, phone number, TSC number to upload the documents
STEP 4: UPLOADING
Describe the document you would like to upload. Select the document to be attached and click on CHOOSE FILE.
Click on UPLOAD to finish the process.
STEP FIVE: UPLOADING SEVERAL DOCUMENTS
Repeat this procedure for all the required documents.
CHECKING IF AON DEPENDENTS’ DETAILS ARE PROPERLY UPLOADED AND FILED
Once you have finished uploading the supporting documents, you must check whether the details have been captured well. This can be done online via the TSC Minet Self Service Portal
