TSC Releases New Internship Recruitment Instructions Applicable November 2021-2022
The sole constitutionally empowered Teachers’ employer, TSC, revises recruitment guidelines to ensure equitable distribution of available TSC internship vacancies from time to time.
The latest TSC Internship Recruitment Guidelines were reviewed in 2021 and are applicable for a maximum period of two years, up to 2022 unless the Commission seems it necessary to review the guidelines.
The 2021-2022 TSC Internship Recruitment Guidelines ushered in an era of equality for both diploma and degree teacher graduates seeking to fill the available TSC Internship vacancies.
For the first time, the Commission offered a level play ground by equalizing the marks awarded to Shortlisted candidates for TSC Internship interviews based on academic qualifications.
Diploma graduates seeking TSC Internship Vacancies in 2022 are henceforth awarded based on academic qualifications as follows:
Distinction-35
Credit-30
Pass-25
Degree teacher graduates seeking available TSC Internship vacancies in 2022 are henceforth awarded based on academic qualifications as follows;
First Class-35
Second Class- Both Upper and Lower Divisions-30
Pass-25
Besides, the Commission trashed manual applications for TSC internship jobs that previously saw job seekers traverse various counties incurring insurmountable cost of travelling just to drop Application Letters in favour of online Applications to the Secretary of the Teachers Service Commission through www.teachersonline.tsc.go.ke
Panel members are also to be notified and sensitized against contravening the Public Officers Ethics Act and the TSC Code of Conduct and Ethics CoCE, 2015. The aforementioned codes oblige the TSC county directors or their representatives to induct member of the TSC internship Recruitment panel on how the interviews shall be conducted to ensure transparency prior to the live interviews.
Since TSC Internship Recruitment is a free and fair exercise, interview venues should be easily accessible to applicants with special needs.
Following the upsurge in the number of deregistered/unregistered teachers, TSC internship Recruitment panels are hereby urged to be vigilant of applicants who are not duly registered and disqualify them. TSC county directors must confirm online the registration status of applicants to avoid engaging deregistered/unregistered teachers for Interviews.
TSC system generated merit lists will be availed by county directors who are expected to disseminate them to sub county directors and school heads for use during interviews.

Sworn Affidavit where names differ on submitted documents
Proof of payment for Confirmation of Results by Knec where Applicable.
