StPaul’s University is happy to inform the first year (New) students who have been selected to join the University in the various degree programmes that they can now get access to their Letters of admission to the university. Congratulations for getting admission at University after your successful application. Students joining StPaul’s University are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after sitting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

Career Opportunities

Purchasing and supplies staffs are required in all businesses.  The first step in doing business is to spend money before any money is made.  But spend too much money on goods and services and the cost eats away at profits. Spend too little the quality of goods or services can be damaged. Both scenarios put the business in jeopardy so effective procurement is essential. Procurement is therefore a critical function in the organization and requires the best and the brightest people to join its ranks.  It therefore competes with other disciplines such as finance, engineering, and business as a career for young people.

List of teachers transferred, delocalised per county in December 2019- Bungoma

Advertisements

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has effected the December 2019 delocalization exercise for school heads. A total of forty two (42) teachers have been moved in Bungoma County. The handing/ taking over exercise for the administrators is expected to be completed before schools open for first tern on January 6, 2020.

Those moved are heads and principals and their deputies serving in their home counties and those who have served in the same station for a long period. Also on the move are new administrators who were appointed after the just concluded interviews .

Teachers with medical conditions have been spared from the ongoing delocalization exercise. Also spared are teachers aged above 56 years and those set to retire.

The Commission kicked off the delocalization exercise in January, 2018. Other massive deployments would then follow in April, August and December of the same year. Though in April, 2019 the Commission slowed down the transfers as only a handful administrators were moved.

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has effected the December 2019 delocalization exercise for school heads. In Kitui County a total of 35 teachers have been moved.

Knec statement on the 2020 examiners training

Advertisements

The Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC, has issued a statement concerning the 2020 training of examiners. This follows reports that the Council had made an advertisement for teachers willing to train to apply online.

Every year Knec has been carrying out training for examiners annually or from time to time as need arises. The training of new examiners is informed by: increased candidature, need to replace exited examiners and whenever new exam papers are introduced.

The Council usually trains examiners in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), Primary Teacher Education (PTE) and Early Childhood Development Education, ECDE; among other examinations.

Advertisements

Read also; Knec examiners training-All that you need to know

But, Knec says it is yet to advertise for any 2020 training vacancies. The Council’s response follows numerous inquiries from teachers and other stake holders.

“KNEC has received several inquiries from headteachers, teachers/tutors in relation to the training of KCPE, KCSE, PTE, ECDE and DTE examiners. We wish to inform all headteachers and teachers that KNEC has not advertised for training of examiners in the year 2020.” Says the Council via a press statement.

Advertisements

There have been misleading reports online insinuating that the council had told interested teachers to apply so as to be trained.

All indications are that the Council may not advertise for any training vacancies, this year. This is largely due to the current covid 19 pandemic and the crunch school academic calendar that may leave Knec with no option than to push the training to next year.

KNEC will now have to use examiners in its database during the 2020 KCSE marking exercise that is slated for April 4 to 22, 2021.
