“FUNNY COURSES”

Responding to the KUCCPS placement of 2018 KCSE candidates in universities, Professor George Magoha advised university vice Chancellors to avoid introducing “funny courses” which in the long run do not add any economic value to students.

He further directed the Commission of University Education, CUE to continuously review university curricula to make their courses/programmes relevant to the changing market trends.

CS Magoha also warned Kenyan universities against introducing courses that will only attract 2-5 students since they do not meet the threshold for government funding.

He promised to put such universities to task in as far as justifying government funding is concerned.
