2020 Remuneration/ Salary for Nairobi County ECDE Teachers and CareGivers
ECDE Teachers and Caregivers in Nairobi County will earn a basic salary between Kshs 21,500 and Kshs 28, 970.
In addition to their basic salary, a commuter allowance of Kshs 4, 000 and house allowance of Kshs 6, 750 will be issued.

ECDE teachers who will be employed by the County Government of Nairobi will be expected to:
- Organise and facilitate playing/ learning activities for learners.
- Take care of and nurture the spiritual, moral, mental, social, aesthetic, emotional and physical growth of learners (holistic development).
- Prepare and develop playing/ learning materials for learners.
- Take charge of ECDE classes.
- Maintain professional and administrative records- schemes of work, lesson plans, learners attendance register and a daily programme of activities.
- Teach in class.
