In the year 2019, the school enrolled the highest number of KCSE candidates, 705 candidates who proved their worth by posting amazing results.
Maranda High school’s 2019 KCSE mean grade was 8.9 (B- plain) in spite of the high KCSE candidature.

Worth noting is that 618 out of 705 2019 KCSE candidates at Maranda High School will join universities in 2020 through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KUCCPS.

These candidates’ university education will hence be fully sponsored by the Kenyan Government.

Maranda High School recorded 19 straight As and 142 A- (minus).
The school is currently headed by Edwin Nemachanja who won the coveted 2019 Principal of the Year Award, POYA.
