<p>The Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC which administers national exams in Kenya is set to release this year’s KCPE and KCSE results after marking.</p>
<p>The KCPE exam which marks the end of Primary level schooling ant facilitates a transition into secondary school is usually administered in October.</p>
<p>KCSE, on the other hand, marks the end of secondary school education and facilitates a transition into tertiary levels of learning such as colleges and universities in Kenya.</p>

<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;">MARKING OF KCPE/KCSE</span></strong></p>
<p>The KCPE/KCSE exams are marked by trained examiners who undergo KNEC training every year.</p>
<p>The marking of national exams is usually confined to particular marking centres located in Kenya’s nerve centre-Nairobi and its environs.</p>
<p>KCPE is partly marked by examiners-Composition and Insha and Optical Mark Recognition Scanners (OMR).</p>
<p>KCSE examiners are usually trained in April every year.</p>
<p>After marking, the results are analyzed and released by the Education Cabinet Secretary, CS after briefing the President on the results.</p>

<p>This is the fastest and most efficient way of checking KNEC results.</p>
<p>You need to send an SMS with your Index/ Random number to 20076.</p>
<p>This service is available for all the three network service providers in Kenya i.e. Safaricom, Airtel and Telcom.</p>
<p>The cost of a single SMS is Kshs 25.</p>

<p>To check your results through KNEC’s online portal, you need your index/random number, internet and a mobile phone or computer.</p>

<li>Click on the KCSE/KCPE Results tab.</li>
<li>Select the year in which you sat for the exams</li>
<li>Enter your index number/ random number</li>
<li>Click on the ”Submit” button to complete the process.</li>
<li>Your results will be displayed on the screen after a while.</li>
</ol>
<p>Lastly, you can visit your former school to access the results after the official release.</p>
