16,000 Teachers In KNUT Union Happy As They Receive Salary Boom
All Teachers are guaranteed freedom to flee themselves from the two major unions upon which they are registered in. Teachers recently experienced sad moments after the commission deducted variable amounts from their salaries.
Teachers have been always going to strikes demanding salaries increments. The Teachers Service Commission has always dealt with the challenge of low salaries amicably. Recently Teachers signed a new Collective Bargaining Agreement where classroom Teachers were favoured most. The new CBA did not bear fruits since the Salaries Remuneration Commission did away with all CBA for the next two years.
About 16,000 Teachers who are members in the KNUT union recieve good news which will make them joyful. The members had arrears with the KNUT union. The 16,000 KNUT union will now get their salaries boom for the phase three and four arrears. This is good news to the members in the Union. The news has been released during this covid 19 pandemic period when most Kenyans are experiencing hard economic times.
